The God In Us
Hebrews 5:14 (KJV)
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
There comes a time in each believer's walk when God calls us to grow beyond spiritual infancy and step into spiritual maturity.
Christian maturity isn't measured by how long we've been savedโit's revealed by how we live, respond, discern, and obey.
A mature believer:
โ
Knows God's voice
โ
Applies God's Word
โ
Exercises spiritual discernment
โ
Chooses obedience over emotion
โ
Remains steadfast through trials
โ
Walks in love, wisdom, and humility
Spiritual maturity comes through consistent practice. As we spend time in God's Word, prayer, and obedience, our spiritual senses become sharper and our discernment stronger.
The goal isn't simply to attend church.
The goal is to become more like Christ.
๐ Lord, help us grow beyond the milk of the Word and develop the spiritual maturity to discern good from evil, truth from error, and Your will above our own. In Jesus' name, Amen.
