These guys showed up all summer, and we couldn’t be more excited about what God is doing in them.

Over the past few months, our young men have been meeting together for the BetterMan study, talking about faith, character, responsibility, leadership, and what it means to become the kind of men God has called them to be. This past Saturday, they finished the summer by heading to a men’s conference together.

We believe in investing in young people. We believe in giving them strong relationships, real conversations, godly examples, and opportunities to grow. We want them to know they have a place here, that people are in their corner, and that their lives have purpose.

We’re proud of these young men, and we believe God is raising up something in them that will reach far beyond this summer.

A new season can change everything. The question is whether you’ll be ready for what comes with it.

Tomorrow morning, we’re starting A New Season, looking at the story of David, a young shepherd who walked onto a battlefield and faced Goliath.

David stepped into that moment knowing who God had been, what God had already done, and what God had put in his hands.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to talk about what that
means for the seasons we’re stepping into right now.

It’s easy to look at something that’s been the same for a long time and assume it’s going to stay that way.

Maybe you’ve prayed about it so many times that you don’t really expect anything different anymore. You’ve learned how to live around it. And at some point, “this has been hard for a long time” just becomes “this is just how my life is.”

But the Bible is full of people who were pretty sure they knew where their story was going, and they were wrong.

Be careful about putting a period where God may have only put a comma. Because, there is still more to your story.

This week, they walk back into classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, practices, friendships, pressures, and all the things we can’t control for them.

So tomorrow, we’re going to cover them in prayer.

During Back to School Sunday, we’ll have a special time of prayer over our students and school staff as they step into a new year. We’ll ask God to guard their hearts, shape their choices, strengthen their faith, and make His presence unmistakable in the places they spend so much of their lives.

Before the first bell rings, we want them to know this: You are prayed for. You are sent. And God is already there.

Our last night of Rainforest Falls was a blast!

We’ve loved having them here this week, and we’re especially thankful for every chance we had to point them to Jesus.

Parents, thanks for sharing your kids with us this week. We’d love to have your whole family back at Lane Avenue this Sunday at 11:00!

Last night, our kids stepped into the story of David hiding from Saul and learned a truth we all need: God is our safe place. When David was afraid and didn’t know what was coming next, he knew exactly where to turn.

“Then I pray to you, O Lord. I say, ‘You are my place of refuge.’” Psalm 142:5

We love seeing these kids have so much fun at VBS, but even more than that, we love watching them discover who God is and how they can trust Him with their lives.

And somehow, we’re already down to ONE MORE NIGHT! Rainforest Falls wraps up tonight at 6:00, and we’re ready to finish this week BIG!

Night 2 of Rainforest Falls was a good one!

Last night our kids learned that God knows everything. He knows what’s happening around us, He knows what’s happening inside us, and He knows every detail of our lives.

Psalm 139 reminds us that God knows us completely, and that was the truth our kids heard all throughout the night.

We’re already halfway through VBS!

Rainforest Falls VBS came to life last night!

Night 1 brought a great crowd of kids through the doors, and we kicked off the week learning that God is our Creator. That’s a pretty great place to start.

The kids were all in from the beginning, and our volunteers absolutely brought it. We couldn’t have asked for a better first night and now we’re ready for Night 2!!

We start at 6:00 tonight at Lane Avenue Church, and there’s still time to join us if your kids missed last night.

Last night, our church was PACKED!

Back to School Bash brought hundreds of people together for an incredible night at Lane Avenue. Kids were bouncing, getting fresh haircuts, eating ice cream, picking out school supplies, and running all over the place having a blast.

We’re incredibly thankful for every volunteer who gave their time, every person and organization who helped make the night possible, and every family who chose to spend their Sunday evening with us.

We love getting to serve our community, and we love seeing our church filled with people who are ready to jump in and make it happen.

To everyone who came: thank you for being part of Back to School Bash 2026. We loved having you at Lane Avenue!
