Today, we pause to remember the lives lost 25 years ago on September 11, 2001. We honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders and ordinary people who came to the aid of others, and we continue to hold in prayer all whose lives were forever changed by that day.

May we also recommit ourselves to being instruments of peace, compassion, and hope in our families, communities, and world.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.
