Join us, as we welcome our Interim Pastor, Reverend Joshua Bode!
Rev. Josh Bode comes to Kalamazoo First Presbyterian after serving for eight years in the Sultanate of Oman with the Reformed Church in America's Global Mission. There, he served as pastor and change process facilitator at the Protestant Church in Oman, helping the church navigate a period of deep transformation. He also served as Director of Operations and Ecumenical Affairs at Al Amana Centre, a Christian-led interfaith peacebuilding organization. Before serving in Oman, Rev. Bode spent a decade as pastor of the Woodstock Reformed Church in Woodstock, New York. Over the years, he has served the Reformed Church in America in a variety of roles beyond the local church.

This is a joint project of the Faith Alliance of which FPC Kalamazoo is a participating member. This is an opportunity to understand some of the challenges LGBTQIA+ folks experience in faith communities, and in the world and how we can make our welcome wider and more inclusive.

Today we traveled back to London and scattered. Some went home, others had plans in London. Some of us gathered for one final UK adventure at Mousetrap, the longest running show in the West End. (See if you can spot the extra we picked up!) Pray for our pilgrims as they return home tomorrow!

brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." -Psalm 90:1-2

Our last day together! A couple of our pilgrims ventured out to Cambridge, a couple made a quiet day of it, and several of us explored the 900 year old castle. We ended the day with communion in the chapel of our guesthouse and a farewell dinner. Thank you for your prayers as we journeyed and encountered God along our way.

Today we took the train to Kings Lynn, the home of Margery Kempe. We visited her home church, toured the Guildhall and medieval prison, and ended the day at All Saint's Church where we got to see a medieval painted screen and an authentic medieval anchorhold.
