https://youtube.com/user/unityofkona The five basic ideas that make up the Unity belief system are:
1. God is the source and creator of all. There is no other enduring power. God is good and present everywhere.
2. We are spiritual beings, created in God’s image. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore, all people are inherently good.
3. We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.
4. There is power in affirmative prayer, which we believe increases our awareness of God.
5. Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough.

🪷 A Mettā Prayer for Whoever Needs It Today

Mettā is the Buddhist practice of loving-kindness—the sincere wish that we, and all beings, may be safe, peaceful, well, and free from suffering.

It begins gently with ourselves, then expands outward to those we love, those we barely know, those we find difficult, and eventually to all beings everywhere.

Pause for one quiet breath today and offer this intention:

May I be well.
May I be peaceful.
May I meet this moment with gentleness.

And then:

May you be well.
May you be peaceful.
May all beings everywhere know kindness and peace.

Mettā does not ask us to ignore pain, excuse harm, or abandon healthy boundaries. It simply asks that we do not let hatred become the language of our own heart.

Wherever you are in the world, may loving-kindness meet you there. 💛
