Good morning beloveds! This weekend's comes to us from Melissa Wells. Let's read what the Lord place on her heart about I Chronicles 29:10-19 (PLEASE, go read the whole passage!):
"This passage stood out to me as a grand finale and closure of David’s reign as king as they make preparations for the first temple to be built, and as he prepares to pass the reign of king to his son Solomon.
"He ultimately declares that all good comes only from God. If there is anything truly great, it initiates from the Lord. It is not just people bringing what we have to offer and Him blessing it, but the goodness truly comes from Him. God knows our hearts, so if we in turn just give it back to Him and give Him the praise. He knows the true motive of our hearts and if we are just going through the motions.
"David is fully aware that God is the source of all of their blessings and victories. He prays over his people and his son to walk in the ways of the Lord and give him the honor and glory.
"I really try to look for and give God praise for little things that I see His hand in, in the everyday and in the midst of times that are difficult. Sometimes it seems like He has His good hand in a situation, but the difficult parts are larger in proportion. Sometimes I hold onto the positive things I can praise Him for in the midst of difficult situations, just to push through to have an overall true larger praise of the situation and His control and presence through it all. I wish I could always be there wholeheartedly in praise for the big picture of His sovereign hand in every little thing. I often get hung up on the little disappointments or frustrations along the way.
"Lord, You are the source of all goodness and blessings in our life. Help me and my brothers and sisters fully give You praise and honor for all things in all situations. Help us lead our families to do the same so we impart a legacy of people who truly love and honor and glorify You with all we have."
Amen! Thank you, Melissa, for your insights.
