Camp Tomah Shinga

Camp Tomah Shinga We provide an outdoor camp experience in the beauty of the Flint Hills, based in faith.

Tomah Shinga is a native Kaw Indian phrase meaning “shining water.” The camp name was inspired by Lyons Creek which borders the camp on the west. Camp Tomah Shinga is geographically one of the largest ELCA camps in the United States. The camp is located in the historic and scenic Flint Hills which surround Geary County, Kansas.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our Week 1 campers who joined us!

We had an amazing week filled with songs, fun activities, laughter, new friendships, and even a little rain along the way! Thank you for bringing your energy, enthusiasm, and smiles each day.

We loved spending the week with you and making so many wonderful memories together. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!
