The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Jonesboro Arkansas

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Jonesboro Arkansas The UU Fellowship of Jonesboro meets Sundays at 10am. Join us for Fellowship, discussion, and coffee. Our faith is one with no religious creed or dogma.

We believe that personal experience, conscience, and reason should be the final authorities in religion. We believe that religious authority lies not in a book, but in ourselves.

Due to the icy roads, we will not have service Sunday, Feb. 1st.

🌷 Honoring Mother’s Day with Love and Compassion 🌷

Today, we honor Mother’s Day with open hearts and gentle awareness.

We celebrate mothers of all kinds—biological, adoptive, chosen, and spiritual.

We hold space for those who:
đź’ś have lost a child,
đź’› longed to be mothers and could not,
đź’š chose a different path,
🧡 are grieving the loss of their mothers,
đź’™ do not feel love or safety from their mothers,
🤍 or are healing complicated relationships.

At our UU Fellowship, we believe every story matters. This day holds many truths, and we embrace them all with care.

No matter who you are or how this day finds you—you are loved, you are seen, and you belong.

🧠💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚🧠

At our Unitarian Universalist fellowship, we believe everyone deserves compassion, support, and dignity—especially when facing mental health challenges.

This month, we honor the courage it takes to speak up, reach out, and keep going.
We say:
✨ You are not broken.
✨ You are not alone.
✨ You are deeply loved.

Mental health is part of our humanity—and caring for one another is part of our faith. 💛

Spring Prayer

Spirit of Life, we come seeking stillness.
The world is bursting with green,
with frenetic energy and a desperate need
to fill the empty spaces with life.

We are bursting, too,
our hands frantic to fill the blank slots on our calendars
and the empty spaces in our gardens.
We all have leafless branches and flat, dark soil.
There is no guarantee
that we will sprout this year as we have before.

Spirit of Life, we seek your blessing.
May your hands join ours as we tend our gardens,
coaxing life from our sleeping seeds.
May you sit with us in the quiet,
settling our hearts into a space for waiting,
taking in the sun and rain so that we, too, might bloom.

Blessed be.

🎉 Cinco de Mayo is more than tacos and margaritas.
It’s a story of courage, resilience, and cultural pride.

As Unitarian Universalists, we’re called to celebrate with respect, solidarity, and truth. Let’s honor this day by uplifting Mexican history, resisting stereotypes, and standing with Latinx communities in the ongoing fight for justice. ✊🌎

🌸🔥 Blessed Beltane! 🔥🌸
Today we honor Beltane, the ancient festival of fire, fertility, and flourishing life. As the earth blooms and the days grow longer, we celebrate the sacred spark of creativity, connection, and community.

At The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Jonesboro, we draw wisdom from many sources, including earth-centered traditions that remind us of our deep relationship with the cycles of nature. Beltane invites us to kindle joy, nourish hope, and embrace the beauty of becoming.

Whether you're dancing around a maypole, lighting a candle, or simply breathing in the spring air—may this day bring renewal to your spirit and warmth to your heart. 💚

🕊️ Earlier today, the world said goodbye to Pope Francis.

While our theologies differ, we honor his legacy of compassion and the call to uphold human dignity. His words remind us:

“There can be no peace without freedom of religion, freedom of thought, freedom of expression and respect for the views of others.”

May we carry that vision forward—in our communities, our faith, and our work for peace.
