COR22 — FINAL DAY

LIVE WHAT YOU’VE LEARNED

📖 2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV)
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

We’re going to make a bold statement:

The greatest part of COR22 isn’t something you can see.

It isn’t an event.
It isn’t a game.
It isn’t a post.
It isn’t even one really great night at youth group.

Those things can be awesome, but they aren’t the goal.

The goal of COR22 is that you encounter Jesus and walk away different because you know Him.

Sometimes we get so focused on what everyone can see that we forget about what God is doing where nobody else can see.

But God works in your heart.

He changes your priorities.
He changes your attitude.
He changes the way you treat people.
He changes what you desire.
He changes how you respond when life gets difficult.

Sometimes when the noise dies down, we finally hear God clearly.

Sometimes when our plans change, God shows us that His plans are better.

Sometimes when we find ourselves somewhere uncomfortable, we finally stop depending on ourselves and start depending on Him.

And sometimes God allows us to step into something new because He wants to do something new in us.

DON’T LET IT END HERE

This may be the final day of this COR22 devotion series, but it shouldn’t be the final day you seek God.

Because the greatest message you will ever share isn’t something you post.

It’s the life you live.

What happens tomorrow?

Will you still open your Bible?

Will you still pray?

Will you worship when nobody is watching?

Will you choose Jesus when your friends choose something different?

Will you forgive?

Will you love people who are difficult to love?

Will you stand for Christ even when standing for Him costs you something?

That is where your faith becomes real.

💧 DAY 2: STEP INTO THE WATER 💧

📖 Joshua 3 + Isaiah 43:2

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee…” — Isaiah 43:2 KJV

The Israelites were standing in front of the Jordan River—and it was overflowing.

God had promised them what was on the other side, but first they had to face what stood in their way.

Here’s the crazy part:

The water didn’t stop BEFORE they stepped forward.

Joshua 3 tells us the priests stepped into the river—and when their feet touched the water, God made a way.

Sometimes we want God to show us the miracle before we move.

But faith says:

“God, I trust You enough to take the step even when I can’t see what happens next.”

Maybe your “Jordan River” is fear.
Maybe it’s a friendship.
Maybe it’s temptation.
Maybe it’s anxiety about your future.
Maybe it’s forgiving someone.
Maybe it’s standing up for your faith.

Whatever you’re facing, remember God’s promise:

🌊 “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee.”

God doesn’t promise that we’ll never face deep water.

He promises we won’t face it alone.

So what step is God asking you to take?

Don’t stay on the riverbank because you’re waiting to see what happens.

👣 STEP INTO THE WATER.

Trust Him.
Obey Him.
Follow Him.

🔥 DAY 2 TRUTH:
I don’t have to see the miracle before I take the step. I can move forward because God is with me.

💭 THINK IT THROUGH:
What is your “Jordan River” right now?
What step of faith is God asking you to take?

COME CLOSER

Scripture: Joshua 3:5, 9 (KJV)

“Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” — Joshua 3:5

Israel was standing on the edge of something new. God had promised them a land, but between where they were and where God wanted them to be stood the Jordan River.

They needed a miracle.

God had parted the Red Sea for Moses years earlier, and now He was preparing to do something amazing again. But before God changed what was happening around them, He wanted to do something inside them.

Joshua told the people:

“Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God.” — Joshua 3:9

COME CLOSER

God had something to say, but His people needed to come close enough to listen.

That is still true for us.

Life is LOUD. School. Sports. Friends. Phones. Social media. Family. Stress. Drama. Expectations. We can have so many voices competing for our attention that God’s voice gets pushed into the background.

Sometimes we ask, “Why isn’t God speaking to me?”

Maybe the better question is:

“Am I getting close enough to listen?”

Before God did wonders among Israel, He told them to sanctify themselves—to prepare their hearts and set themselves apart for Him.

God wasn’t only preparing the Jordan River.

He was preparing His people.

And that’s where OP Youth begins.

We don’t want OP Youth to simply be another place we go. We don’t want to show up, sing some songs, hear a message, hang out with friends, and leave exactly the same.

We want to encounter God.

But that begins with what we choose to do before we ever walk through the doors.

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO PUT DOWN?

Maybe it’s time to set aside something that’s distracting you.

Maybe it’s time to surrender something that’s controlling your thoughts.

Maybe it’s time to forgive someone.

Maybe it’s time to open your Bible again.

Maybe it’s time to pray instead of just thinking about praying.

Maybe it’s time to stop letting your relationship with God depend on someone else’s relationship with God.

✝️ MINI DEVO | HEBREWS 13:8

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” — Hebrews 13:8 KJV ❤️

Everything around us can change in an instant. Plans change. People change. Circumstances change. Seasons of life change.

But Jesus doesn’t.

The same Jesus who was faithful yesterday is faithful today—and He’ll still be faithful tomorrow. 🙌

When life feels uncertain, hold on to the One who is unchanging. His love hasn’t changed. His promises haven’t changed. His power hasn’t changed. And His presence hasn’t changed.

🙏 Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for being constant when everything around me changes. Help me trust You more, rest in Your promises, and remember that You are always faithful. Amen.

🤎 Same yesterday.
🤎 Same today.
🤎 Same forever.

📖 Scripture

John 1:14 (KJV)
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us… full of grace and truth.”

❤️ Mini Devo: God Came Near

John 1:14 contains one of the most incredible truths in Scripture: Jesus chose to come near.

“The Word” is Jesus. The eternal Son of God stepped out of heaven, became flesh, and lived among ordinary people. He experienced hunger, exhaustion, rejection, temptation, grief, and pain. Jesus didn’t simply send us instructions from heaven—He came to us Himself.

That means when you feel alone, misunderstood, overwhelmed, or uncertain, you serve a Savior who understands. Jesus entered our world so that we could know God personally.

And John tells us that Jesus was “full of grace and truth.” We need both. His truth shows us how to live, while His grace meets us when we fall short.

Today, remember: God is not distant. He came near. He is present. And He wants you to walk closely with Him.

💭 Think About It

Am I living today like Jesus is truly present with me?

What is one area of my life where I need to trust His grace and truth?

🙏 Prayer

Lord, thank You for loving me enough to come near. Help me remember that I am never walking through life without Your presence. Teach me to live according to Your truth, receive Your grace, and show that same grace to others. Amen.

Today’s Truth:
✨ Jesus came near so we could know God personally.
