HEAVEN’S AMBASSADORS

“We are ambassadors of the Anointed One who carry the message of Christ to the world, as though God were tenderly pleading with them directly through our lips. So we tenderly plead with you on Christ’s behalf, ‘Turn back to God and be reconciled to him.’”
—2 Corinthians 5:20 TPT

Revelation

We are not simply believers in Christ—we are His ambassadors. An ambassador carries the heart, authority, and message of the kingdom they represent. Wherever we go, we carry the message of Jesus into the world.

What makes this passage especially beautiful is the tenderness of God’s appeal. He is not angrily shouting at people from a distance. He is lovingly drawing them back to Himself—and He has chosen to express that invitation through our lips and through our lives.

Before someone hears our message, they may first encounter Christ through the way we listen, forgive, encourage, serve, and love. We represent Him not only from a platform, but around our tables, within our families, in our workplaces, and throughout our communities.

Declaration

I am an ambassador of the Anointed One.
I carry the heart and message of Christ wherever I go.
My words will reveal His truth, and my life will reflect His love.
God’s tender invitation will be heard through my lips:
“Turn back to God and be reconciled to Him.”

Reflection

If someone encountered Jesus through my words and actions today, what would they believe He is like?

Prayer

Father, thank You for trusting me to represent Your Kingdom. Let my words carry Your truth with tenderness, and let my life reveal Your kindness and love. Speak through me, work through me, and draw others closer to You through every encounter. May I faithfully represent the heart of Jesus wherever You send me.

KEEP MARCHING — THE WALL IS NOT THE END OF THE STORY

“By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.”
Hebrews 11:30

There are seasons when our trials can feel a lot like Israel’s march around Jericho.

God had already promised them the city, yet the wall was still standing.

For six days, they walked around the same obstacle. No visible cracks. No evidence that anything was changing. No explanation for why they had to keep circling something God had already said was theirs.

They simply had to trust and obey.

And perhaps that is where Jericho speaks so beautifully into our own trials.

Sometimes we pray, obey, believe, and the wall still stands.

We walk another lap.

We pray again.
We trust again.
We show up again.
We choose faith again.

What looked like repetition at Jericho was actually obedience in motion.

The Israelites were not marching to convince God to give them victory.
God had already declared the victory!
Their assignment was to walk faithfully according to His instruction until what He had spoken became visible.

Our trials can be much the same.

The wall in front of you is not necessarily evidence that God is absent. The silence does not mean nothing is happening. And another lap does not mean you have gone nowhere.

Sometimes faith looks like continuing to walk when nothing around you appears to be changing.

Then came the seventh day.

They marched.
The trumpets sounded.
The people shouted.

And the wall that had stood before them came down.

Reflection

What “Jericho” are you walking around right now?

Have you mistaken repetition for stagnation?

Could God be teaching you to trust His Word more than what your eyes can presently see?

Declaration

I will keep walking in obedience.
I will not allow what I see to overrule what God has spoken.
I will trust Him in the silence, in the waiting, and in every lap.
The wall does not determine my outcome—God does.

Prayer

Father, when I grow weary of walking around the same walls, remind me that obedience is never wasted. Give me faith to continue when I cannot yet see change. Teach me to trust Your voice above my circumstances and to know that what You have promised does not become less true simply because the wall is still standing. Strengthen me for every lap until Your purpose is fulfilled.

THE KING HAS PLACED HIS SEAL UPON YOUR HEART

“He knows we are His, since He has also stamped His seal of love over our hearts and has given us the Holy Spirit, like an engagement ring is given to a bride, a down payment of the blessings to come.”
2 Corinthians 1:21–22 TPT

There are moments when we read a familiar passage and suddenly the Holy Spirit allows us to see what has been there all along.

Today, this is one of those moments.

In the ancient world, a king carried a signet—a seal bearing his unique mark. When pressed into wax or clay, that impression authenticated what belonged to him and carried the authority of the one who made it.

Paul uses this extraordinary imagery to describe what God has done with us.

He has sealed us.

The Greek word is sphragizō—to seal, authenticate, certify, secure, and mark as one's own.

Think about that.

Before you ever tried to establish your identity, He identified you.

Before you tried to prove your worth, He chose you.

Before you could make yourself worthy of belonging, the King desired to call you His own.

And where does He place the evidence of this belonging?

Within us.

He gives us His Holy Spirit in our hearts.

The seal says:

“You are Mine.”

But there is something even more beautiful about a seal.

When the king pressed his signet into softened wax, the wax received the impression of the king's mark.

What a picture of our life in Christ.

We are not spending our lives trying to manufacture an identity. As we surrender to Him, the Holy Spirit is forming the likeness of Christ within us.

The King's seal identifies whose we are, and the King's impression begins revealing who we are becoming.

Then Paul gives us another breathtaking picture.

He says the Holy Spirit has been given to us as a pledge, a down payment of everything still to come.

The Greek word is arrabōn: a deposit, pledge, or first installment guaranteeing the fulfillment of what has been promised.

The Passion Translation beautifully pictures this as an engagement ring given to a bride.

And perhaps that helps us understand our response to His love.

There is an invitation.

There is a choosing.

There is a covenant being offered.

Like a bride receiving the hand extended toward her, love is not forced. It is received.

We can resist His invitation, or we can open our hearts and say:

Yes.
I receive Your love.
I receive Your choosing.
I receive my identity in You.
I belong to You.

Ecclesia, perhaps some of us have spent far too long trying to discover who we are.

Maybe the deeper question isn't:

“Who am I?”

Maybe it is:

“Whose am I?”

Because when whose you are becomes settled, who you are begins to come into focus.

You are not wandering around hoping heaven recognizes you.

You do not have to establish your worth before God.

You do not have to manufacture an identity that He will approve.

The King has already extended His invitation.

And when we receive Him, His Spirit within us bears witness that we belong to Him.

The wax does not authenticate the king.

The King authenticates the wax.

And the One who has placed His seal upon you is faithful to complete everything He has promised.

So today, stop striving to become someone worthy of being chosen.

Receive the love that chose you.

Receive the Spirit who dwells within you.

And allow the King's impression to become increasingly visible through your life.

You are His.
You are sealed.
And what you have experienced of Him so far is only the beginning.

Reflection

Have I been trying to establish an identity that God is inviting me simply to receive?

Declaration

I am His. I receive the love of the One who has called me His own. I will no longer strive to establish an identity apart from Him. I surrender my heart to the Holy Spirit and allow the likeness of Christ to be formed within me. I carry the seal of the King, and I trust the One who began this work to fulfill everything He has promised.

Prayer

Father, open our hearts to comprehend the depth of what it means to belong to You. Quiet every voice that has caused us to question our worth or identity. Teach us to rest in Your choosing and respond freely to Your love. Holy Spirit, make the impression of Christ increasingly visible in us. May our lives reveal not merely who we are, but whose we are.
In the Holy Name of Jesus,
