YOU MADE IT!!!
YAY!! Hello 2025!!!
This 1st Sunday of 2025, I want to share a song with you 2025 recorded by Gregory Perkins Bowen in 1983 called “I Made It.” It’ a part 1 & 2. Check it out when you get time.
And as we think about all the things that went wrong in 2024, or things you didn’t get for Christmas, this song helped me focus on the most important thing. I got to see another year! I’m living in it!! I made it through 2024 and I can say goodbye to what’s been and hello to what’s beginning. I’ve learned that if I don’t empty the heavy load, it’ll become a bigger load, and even harder to carry alone. You might be thinking, if 2025 is anything like 2024, I don’t want it. Keep it Lord, no more of the same. Maybe you’ve lost hope and have given up inside. The healing is taking too long, the pain of divorce is not ending, or getting that new job or reconciliation of marriage is not ever going to happen.
My heart goes out to all the families that are grieving from loses in 2024, even early in this current year. In this difficult season nothing makes any sense. You can only ask, “why?” Just keep breathing…. Then… exhale. Then breathe again. One moment at a time….all the way to the finish line.
Remember that God makes all things beautiful in His Time, Ecclesiastes 3:11. And when God touches your situation it’s going to be grand. Your soul will then say, “He who was seated on the Throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new. Write it down for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Blessings and Peace,
Pastor Grace

DON’T LOSE YOUR PASSION
Acts 1:3
HAPPY RESURECTION SUNDAY!!
Passion Week (also known as Holy Week) is the time from Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday (Resurrection Sunday). The week of Jesus' crucifixion is called “Passion Week,” after the Greek verb, pascho meaning “to suffer.” The word passion (pascho) appearing in Acts 1:3, where Jesus showed “himself alive after his passion. Jesus Christ truly revealed His passion for us in His suffering. He willingly went to the cross for us. Passion is a showing or causing strong feelings or a strong belief. Having very intense feelings or emotions. One of the most passionate things Jesus spoke on the cross was, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do,” Luke 23:34.
We don’t hear much preaching on the cross these days. We hear about the gifts of the Spirit and power of God. But none of these things would be possible had it not been for the cross. It is the most important event in History. It was the cost of God’s Grace, which reconciled man to Himself. That means He died in my place. His shed blood made propitiation for my sins. His death satisfied the wrath of God. God is not mad at you. He is mad about you. He is the Lamb of God. Our debts have been paid.
Fight for your passion. There may be some days your passion is not present. You may not want it, need it, or can’t find it. Fight for your passion for Christ. It will see you through the most difficult trials of your life.
If you are going to fight for your passion for Christ then……
1. Don’t Lose Sight of the CROSS
What I mean by that is, don’t lose your passion for His cross. Your personal revelation of the “CROSS,” is revolutionary. For me it changed my life. I like to say I met Jesus at the foot of the cross.
For me it was the place where I literally experienced the work of the cross. On bended knees, tears running down my face, He allowed me to feel the weight of my sins nailing Him to the cross. He died for me, He who knew no sin. Oh saints, in that moment, I came to know repentance. All I could do is weep and say, “I’m sorry.” In that moment saints Jesus washed my sins away. I felt clean, forgiven, redeemed, reconciled and thankful for the experience of His Cross. So when I sing the song, “What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again, nothing but the blood of Jesus? Oh, precious is that flow, that makes me white as snow. No other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus. Don’t lose sight of the cross. The cross was where I was found guilty, yet set free, guilty yet forgiven, guilty but my sentence adjudicated, guilty but my record has been expunged. Thank God for the Glory of the Cross!!
If you are going to fight for your passion for Christ then……
2. Stay Thirsty. PASSIONATE PEOPLE Thirst for God. What are you thirsty for? Jesus cried, “I thirst,” to fulfill scripture in Psalm 22:15 among others. Thirst is a sign of distress. He was thirsty in His suffering. John 19:28. When you go through painful times, stay thirsty. Don’t accept the gall, vinegar, sour wine they offered Him. No, Thirst for the living God. Thirst for seeing the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. You can cry but be thirsty! You can hurt but be thirsty! Be lonely, but be thirsty! He will satisfy! Jesus' strength left Him from the ordeal of His arrest, beating, bleeding and crucifixion. He was thirsty for a move of God. He thirsted for the completion of the will of God. Check Your Thirsty.
If you are going to fight for your passion for Christ then……
3. Fight the Good Fight Of Faith.
Passionate people fight for the faith, or shall I say to stay in faith. Mark 15:34, “Father why have thou forsaken me? Jesus son of the living God felt forsaken. He had to Contend for the faith. It was taking too long to finish this thing. He was in despair, but he couldn’t give up now. He had one more thing to share. The last word’s he said was the best words He said. “It is Finished.” The suffering is over. I have run my race, finished my course. You may be sitting in the dark tonight because the light bill didn’t get paid on time. Fight for your passion. You may be down and out, not sure what your gonna do. Fight! You may be experiencing a financial hardship and can’t put two nickels together. Fight! God has not forsaken you, nor will He. He’s still showing himself alive by many infallible proofs. I’m a living witness! He Still Raises the Dead! He fought for His passion for us all. Now let’s fight for His.

Thanking God for the Mercies He’s Already Given
Lamentations 3:21-23, This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Jerimiah is given credit for writing the Book of Lamentations. I’m reminded of the reflection he shared. After witnessing the fall of Judah, taken captive by their enemies, men and children and leaders taken into slavery, streets that were once full of people was empty. He cried in despair. The priests, elders, even prophets were killed in the sanctuary, those remaining died of hunger. Mothers so hungry they thought of eating their own children, who were mere skin and bones. So many dead, so many dying in the streets, the weeping prophet wept sore. No more temple, the sanctuary was completely destroyed, the Mercy Seat was gone, the altars of sacrifice torn down, their church completely pillaged not one wall was standing. The Lamenting so severe because the very place they could find refuge in, the house of God, where His presence could be found was gone. The people felt, no more place of God, no more presence of God, no more God. Ever felt that way? That God was far from you? You couldn’t find Him nowhere? You couldn’t pray even if you wanted to? NO desire, just dried up inside. NO hope no help to be found. Jeremiah did, he felt this way. Then he began to remember the God who had brought them through in times past. The dependable, reliable God that was faithful even when we are not. Remembering the God of your past can bring Him to your present. He will find you and lead you to Himself. “Great Is Thy Faithfulness oh God!”
Jerimiah began to reflect to himself and found hope in this one fact. It is of the Lord’s tender mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. The Mercy Seat may be gone but God’s Mercy is not. It is new every morning! In the face of total devastation he realized, I’m still here. I’ve seen them come and I’ve seen them go and I’m still here. Others are gone but I’m still here! This tragedy could have taken me out, but it didn’t. If you’ve gone through hell and tarnation and don’t know how you made it through, give God a shout of praise, cause His Mercy endures forever!
If you are alive and remain, Thank God for the Mercies He’s Already Given! Merciful Jesus I give you praise! Thank you for the time my car stalled on the train tracks one night and I looked over to a fast approaching train, with light staring me in the face, and I narrowly escape with my life! The time I was drowning in the Daytona Beach miles from the distant shore, sinking to rise no more. Then, Lord you reached in and snatched me up! I’m thankful for the two automobile accidents that should have killed me and didn’t. For the time the gun was pulled on me and the mugger didn’t shoot me, got what he wanted and let me go! Lord I thank you that the shot gun that was pointed at me, trigger pulled, but no bullets came out! Oh the tender mercies of God be praised!
Today is a good day to testify to the tender mercies of God! Give God Thanks, for the auto accident that didn’t kill you, the fender bender you walked away from, for the doctor report that said, “you shall live and not die!” Tell God thank you for the tests results that wasn’t cancer! Thank Him for the job that ended but you got a better one! If Covid didn’t take you out, shout Mercy!!!! Thank Him for the zeroes that left your life and was replaced with a hero / he**in! Thank Him for saving your children! He’s God all the way and all the time!! Thank God for the Mercies He’s already bestowed. For thanksgiving makes room for more!

SPEAK GRACE GRACE TO YOUR MOUNTAIN!! Zechariah 4:6-9
6 So he answered and said to me: This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, Says the Lord of hosts. 7 ‘Who are you, O great mountain?
Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” 8 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.
I wanna encourage someone in Grace today. When God has His way with your mountain its resistance is futile. Zerubbabel ran into problems carrying out God's instruction to rebuild the temple. It had been in ruins for many years, several kings rule over the territory wasn't favorable to the rebuild. So he had no financial support, no cooperation from the people, no resources nor authorization to get the work done. Great opposition comes when doing the will of God. The Lord sent him a word of encouragement through a vision the prophet Zechariah had. The vision of the lampstands and olive branches, describes illumination. God shedding some light to your situation is an act of His Grace toward you. God enlighten Zerubbabel that the obstacles you're experiencing now is coming to an end. It's not by the might of the king, the power of the armies or the people, but by the Will of my Spirit that will make this mountain of opposition become a level plain. All you got to say Zerubbabel is "GRACE GRACE!"
A few months ago, Deb and I flew to New Orleans on a low budget airlines. We had to walk outside onto the tarmac to board. As soon as I saw this older plane I got concerned. It's engine had been burning oil, you could see it's accumulation of black smoke all over it. Before I knew it my hand stretched out toward that engine and I said, "Grace Grace" to this plane in Jesus Name. As the plane taxied onto the run way it was squeaking and creeping along so loud every one noticed it and look at each other. The landing gear was grinding so loud one man started to video his wife telling her I might not make it back home, in humor. I told him young man. "I have prayed for this plane, and spoke Grace Grace to it and it will land safely. We are going to be alright." He looked at me and his jokes became calm.
Your mountain may be the government like Zerubbabel, the IRS may be hounding you, or your mountain may be a financial fight, family feud, fainting faith. The Spirit of the Living God is saying unto you speak to your mountain. GRACE GRACE! It was the Spirit of Grace that moved Zerubbabel's mountain of opposition. And God's Grace is available to move yours too. If you need more Grace, speak it. GRACE GRACE! Remember not only is God a mountain moving God, He's God of the Mountain! Great Grace to you!!
