Sunday Service Recap

🙌 We experienced powerful, Spirit-filled worship that stirred our hearts and lifted the roof! 🔥 We also poured out passionate prayers for the next generation after our worship leader and daycare director, Ariel Parrot, shared a little about her passions.

🤔 Are you church... but not changed?

This Sunday we walked through Jonah’s journey 🐋 from running to REVIVAL—and discovered that freedom isn’t just about being rescued. It’s about becoming the rescuer. 🛟

God didn’t save us to sit comfortably in the shade. 🌴 He saved us to throw the life ring of the gospel to a drowning world. 🌎

📍Jacksonville is our Jerusalem—1.2 million souls waiting. The question God asked Jonah still echoes to us today:

💭 “Should I not care for this great city?”

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Your comfort zone isn’t your calling.

🪑 That empty chair next to you is waiting for someone you’ll invite.

✝️ The cross isn’t just something we wear—it’s something we carry.

🚑 We’re not a museum for the rescued; we’re a rescue station for the drowning.

🐋 JOURNEY WITH JONAH – PART 2
THE PREACHER WHO HATED THE ALTAR CALL
This Sunday • 11:00 AM • FREEDOM Christian Fellowship
Nineveh experienced one of the greatest revivals in history.
The entire city repented.
People prayed.
Families turned to God.
Mercy fell.
And Jonah?
He got mad.
While the city was praying…
the preacher was pouting.
While heaven was celebrating…
Jonah was complaining.
Jonah wanted judgment.
God wanted compassion.
Sound familiar?
It’s easy to love the people who look like us, think like us, vote like us, and act like us.
It’s much harder to love the people God loves.
Jonah chapter 4 is not really about a fish.
It’s about a heart.
It’s about learning to love what God loves.
It’s about exchanging our anger for His compassion.
It’s about celebrating when grace reaches people we never thought deserved it.
This Sunday we’ll discover:
🐋 Why Jonah was angry when revival broke out
❤️ The danger of losing compassion for the lost
🌱 What Jonah’s plant teaches us about comfort and priorities
🙌 Why God’s mercy is bigger than our opinions
🔥 How to develop God’s heart for people
The greatest miracle in Jonah wasn’t the fish.
It wasn’t the storm.
It wasn’t the plant.
It was God’s relentless love for people.

What a powerful Sunday morning worship experience! The presence of God was so strong, and one truth kept echoing through the service:

When God says “Go” and we say “No,” we can find ourselves in our own Shamu season.

Just like Jonah, we can run from God’s call—but we can’t outrun His love. The very thing that seems to swallow you alive may be the very thing God uses to move you forward. Your mess becomes your message. Your test becomes your testimony.

Jonah discovered that the whale wasn’t his prison—it was his prayer closet. What felt like rock bottom became holy ground.

The breakthrough comes when we stop panicking and start praising. Jonah didn’t climb out of that fish—he got praised out!

And if Nineveh could repent, Jacksonville can too.

We’re believing for even greater things this week!
