Lord, on this Labor Day, we thank You for the gift and blessing of work.

Give us strength for each day, rest when we are weary, and purpose in all that we do. Guide and provide for those seeking employment, and bless those who work tirelessly each day—especially those whose efforts often go unseen.

May the work of our hands serve others, strengthen our communities, and always give glory to You.

Welcome Poor Clare Missionary Sisters 🌷🙏

Join Bishop Edward Rice and other clergy of the area in welcoming the Poor Clare Missionary Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament to the Cape Girardeau area. This will take place on Wednesday, September 2, during the 5:15 p.m. Mass here at St. Vincent. Sister Rocío Alcantar, MC, Sister Clara Garcia, MC, Sister Ana Gonzales, MC, and Sister Nelly Rivera, MC are all entering a new adventure of ministry. God has blessed the local area with this new religious community. As the Sisters begin their new apostolates, may their motto of “Christ Must Reign” influence all of us in our lives. After Mass, a reception will be held in the Parish Center (school gym).
