Second Wind Cottages is proud to celebrate Anesti Isufaj on receiving the 2026 Social Justice Warrior of the Year Award in recognition of his commitment to violence interruption and community safety.
Through our Violence Interrupter Program, Anesti works to prevent violence before it happens, de-escalate conflicts, interrupt cycles of retaliation, and build bridges through trust, compassion, and meaningful human connection.
This work is about more than responding to crises. It’s about showing up for people, building relationships, restoring hope, and helping create a community where everyone has the opportunity to choose a different path.
We are grateful for Anesti’s dedication and for all the community partners who work alongside us to make Ithaca a safer, more compassionate place to live.
Congratulations, Anesti! This recognition celebrates not only your work, but the power of a community coming together to protect lives and create lasting change. We are proud to have you as part of the Second Wind Cottages Homeless Crisis Alleviation Team!
