First Mennonite Church

First Mennonite Church First Mennonite Church is a warm and energetic congregation. On a typical Sunday, about one hundred thirty people gather for worship and Christian education.

The church offers a wide variety of ways to get involved beyond worship and Sunday school: small groups that meet in homes for a fellowship meal, sharing, and prayer; service projects in and beyond the community. The worship service blends together traditional hymns, instrumental music, and occasional contemporary songs.

Section 224 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) passed committee, paving the way for collaboration and shared data between the U.S. and Israeli militaries in new, dangerous, and unprecedented ways. The proposition, titled “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative,” reduces transparency in U.S. support of Israel's military, designates an executive agent to synchronize military and tech efforts between the two countries, and advances the violent collaboration beyond what's been status quo.

Because the proposition has advanced to the House floor, we all must work together to pressure our representatives to introduce a new amendment stripping it from the bill, to strike section 224 on the floor, or vote against the NDAA if section 224 is not removed.

Use our tool to write your representatives and demand the U.S.-Israel military industrial complex is not expanded further: mennoniteaction.org/section224

The Pastors here at First Mennonite Church are so thoughtful! I had mentioned yesterday that today would have been the 14th wedding anniversary for me and my late husband. So Pastor Jonathan brought these beautiful flowers into work today for me to commemorate our day! 🥹 Thank you so very much for your kindness!

I must say this church and the congregation has impressed me so much with their kindness, dedication, faithfulness at work, and servant spirit! If you’re looking for a new church home, may I suggest you look no further than First Mennonite Church?

Come check us out! Worship Service is every Sunday at 9:30am. Are you too shy to come in person? We also live stream our services! Check out our past videos on our website: www.indymenno.org. We also offer Bible study class on Wednesdays at 7:00pm.
We look forward to welcoming you!
