Today begins a new season for PCM. We are excited that as of today, September 1, 2026, Matt James has joined our staff as the PCM Executive Director-Elect. We welcome Matt and Haylee and look forward to all God has in store for PCM in the days ahead.
A few words from Matt ...
As September begins, I am incredibly grateful and humbled to officially join the PCM staff. It still feels a little surreal, but more than anything, I am thankful for the faithfulness of God and for the opportunity to serve alongside so many people who have faithfully loved, prayed for, supported, and partnered with the Church in Poland for many years.
One verse that I continually come back to is John 3:30:
“He must increase, but I must decrease.”
I often write it simply as HE > i — “HE” in all caps and “i” intentionally lowercase. It is a small reminder of something that I hope is true not only of my own life, but of all of us who seek to follow Jesus: this is not about us. It is about Him.
Those words come from John the Baptist, whose ministry was quite literally about preparing the way for Jesus. People were coming to John, listening to him, and following him, yet John understood that he was never supposed to be the focus. When Jesus came onto the scene, John pointed people away from himself and toward Christ: “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
What a beautiful picture of what ministry should be.
Whether we are pastors and ministry leaders in Poland, supporters and partner churches in the United States, PCM staff and board members, volunteers, prayer partners, or simply followers of Jesus seeking to be faithful wherever God has placed us, our calling is ultimately the same: prepare the way and point people to Christ.
PCM has been blessed with generations of people who have faithfully done exactly that, and I am deeply grateful to simply become another small part of that story.
As we enter this new season together, my prayer is that Jesus would always remain at the center of everything we do. May our partnerships become stronger, may churches be encouraged, may the Gospel continue to go forward, and through it all, may less attention be drawn to us and more attention be drawn to Him.

May we continue, together, to prepare the way for the Lord.
