A note from your communications coordinator: speaking for only myself (but wanting to share it with you), Mr. Berry's letter "What New York Times Columnist Paul Krugman Gets Wrong About Rural America" is a piece that's stuck with me. I'll put the link in the comments. Carry on!

With the news of Wendell Berry’s death, the Outlook team is remembering a writer whose poetry, essays and fiction have shaped how so many of us think about faith, community, creation and our responsibility to one another.

We are saddened by his death and deeply grateful for the words, questions and wisdom he leaves behind.

What Wendell Berry poem, book or piece of wisdom has stayed with you?

In the comments, we’re sharing the Outlook’s review of what would become Berry’s final book, “Marce Catlett.”

We did this once before and it was a huge hit, so let's do it again.

Show us your sanctuary!

The Reverend Doctor Donald R. Wilson will offer the sermon “Thyran: The Opportunity at the Doorway.”

There are the challenges of life: the unclean spirits, the closed roads, the missing directions, the overwhelming needs, but it is in these doorways, the half-entered rooms, we find opportunities that lead us to God.

Calvary's worship blends a traditional style with an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, offering a relevant and engaging experience. Worship is on Sundays at 11:00 a.m., both in-person and streaming live on our website, CalvaryChurchPA.com. We'd love to see you there!
