Good morning and welcome to worship!
Last week we left Stephen standing before the high council. False accusations had been made against him, but when everyone looked at Stephen, his face reflected the presence of God. Today, Stephen finally speaks. And instead of beginning with himself, Stephen begins with God. He takes us back through the story of Abraham and Joseph. But Stephen isn't simply giving a history lesson. He's asking his listeners—and us—to notice something:
God has always been on the move. God called Abraham. God was with Joseph. Sometimes God's people recognized what He was doing. Sometimes they didn't. As we worship today, I want to ask you to consider the following questions: Do I know God well enough to recognize where He is moving? Do I trust God enough to believe He is working even when I cannot see what He is doing?
Come, let us worship the God who was faithful yesterday, who is present with us today, and who will lead us faithfully into tomorrow.

As you work and play through your week please take a moment to remember the devastating destruction as well as the heroic acts of service and patriotism of September 11th. We dare not forget. Remember as well That we are not alone....God is here. May the peace of Christ be with you all!

Good morning and welcome to worship!
Last week, as we met the Seven, we discovered that some people in the growing church were being overlooked. And we were challenged to ask: Who am I noticing? Who is sitting alone? Who is being left out? Who needs someone to see them, welcome them, or care for them? Today, as we continue in Acts 6, Luke turns that question around. One of those seven servants steps forward. His name is Stephen. And as we watch him serve Christ, speak truth, face opposition, and endure false accusations, a different question emerges: What are people noticing in me? When life is easy—but especially when it isn't—do people see something of Jesus in us?So perhaps this can be our prayer as we worship: Lord Jesus, make my life reflect You.
May the Peace of Christ be with you all as you become a reflection of Him to the world around you!

Good morning and welcome to worship!
Last week, Acts reminded us that locked doors, human power, and even suffering could not stop what God was building. Today, Luke takes us inside the Church. And surprisingly, we discover that this rapidly growing church has a problem. People are being overlooked. Needs are going unmet. Tension is beginning to develop. But rather than allowing the problem to divide them, the believers discover something important: God has given His Church people with different gifts for different ministries—and every one of them matters. Some will preach. Some will teach. Some will serve tables. Some will care for those who might otherwise be forgotten. But all of them are participating in the same work of Jesus Christ. So, as we worship today, perhaps our prayer can simply be: “Lord, show me my place in what You are building” for we all have a place.

Good morning and welcome to worship with Bethel. There are times when it seems as though darkness is winning, opposition is growing, and God's work is being pushed aside. Yet throughout history, God has continued to accomplish His purposes through ordinary people who simply remained faithful. Today we meet an unexpected man named Gamaliel. He wasn't one of the apostles. He wasn't even a follower of Jesus. Yet God used his words to remind everyone in the room—and us—that when God is building something, no human power can stop it. As we worship this morning, may we place our confidence not in ourselves, but in the Lord Jesus Christ who promised, "I will build my church."
