Today’s challenge 9/7/2026 was reading Psalm119:99…..

Psalm 119:99 ("I have more insight than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation") means that deep, spiritual wisdom comes from constantly thinking about God's Word rather than relying solely on human education.

Psalm 119 applies to daily life by serving as a practical guide for using Scripture to navigate challenges, find comfort, and make wise choices every single day!

Today, we honor the work of your hands—and the heart you put into it. 💗

The work that provides.
The work that creates.
The work that serves.
The work that cares for others.
And even the quiet work that no one else sees.

Whether your work happens in an office, a classroom, a hospital, a workshop, a garden, within the walls of your own home, or within your church what you do matters.

May today be a reminder to be grateful for the work God has given us, to appreciate those whose labor makes a difference in our lives, and to rest from our own for just a little while.

Happy Labor Day from First Baptist Church of Hyannis 💗

What does it really mean to follow Jesus today?

JESUS HONORED WOMEN

Mary said yes to God’s extraordinary calling to give birth to Jesus. Elizabeth spoke words of encouragement and faith over her. The Samaritan woman at the well had a life-changing conversation with Jesus—and became the first person recorded in John’s Gospel to tell others that He was the Messiah. Joanna helped support Jesus’ ministry and was among the first to proclaim that He had risen. And in the early church, Phoebe was a deacon who played an important role in the church at Cenchreae and delivered Paul’s letter to the Romans.

Who are the women in your life who remind you of Mary, Elizabeth, the Samaritan woman, Joanna, or Phoebe?

What qualities do you see in them that God may also be developing in you?

You may not understand God’s timing, but you can trust His heart. Faith isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about trusting the One who does.

When nothing seems to be moving, look for the Godwinks—those little reminders that give us hope and whisper, “I’m still here.”
God is working behind the scenes, even when we can’t see it. His promises are not forgotten.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Keep the faith. Keep praying. Keep believing. In God’s perfect timing, you’ll understand why you had to wait.
