Faith in Action Alabama is about to launch its 2026 Faith To The Polls Voter Engagement Campaign.
The following are two core tactics are voter engagement. Plan will employ:
1. Phonebanking - we will engage voting age, African-Americans, and congressional districts, one, two, and seven. We want to make sure that we are encouraging these individuals to vote. Our state legislature sadly has taken steps to try to undermine the voting power of Alabama’s African-American community in particular in congressional districts one, two and seven.
Phone bank sessions will take place on: Monday, August 31, September 28, October 26, and November 2, at 6 PM – 7:30 PM.
(On Monday, August 24, 6 PM – 7 PM, via Zoom, we will have a phonebank training session.)
For each phonebank session that volunteers participate in they will receive a $20 stipend.

2. Text-banking: on Thursday, September 10, and October 29, 6 PM – 7:30 PM volunteers will send voter engagement text messages to all voting Alabamans in the mobile phones phonebook. Faith in Action Alabama will provide sample text messages that volunteers can use if they so desire. For each text-bank session volunteers will receive a $20.
