08/29/2026
Today is a monumental day in our community. August 29th is a symbol of Hurricane Katrina (2005, 21 Years) and Hurricane Ida (2021, 5 Years). Two storms, years apart, that left deep marks on South Louisianaโbut also revealed the strength, compassion, and resilience of our people.
We remember what was lost, and what is still being rebuilt. But we also honor those who served. From food distribution, rebuilds, and countless acts of kindness that carried people through, let the remembrance of Hurricane Ida be a pivotal moment in our community to remind us what it means to be a Godly neighbor.๐
Most of all, we remember that even in the middle of the storm, God is faithful. He was with us then, He is with us now, and He will be with us through whatever comes next.
We are so thankful for you and love you, Life Church family.๐
