Edgewood Presbyterian Church Edgewood Presbyterian is a member of the PC(USA) and is a More Light Presbyterian Congregation. Worship on Sunday is at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary and on Zoom.

Edgewood Presbyterian Church is a magnet church, with a unique ministry which draws its diverse membership from throughout the Birmingham metropolitan area. Like a magnet school, Edgewood's unique approach to ministry --open-hearted, open-minded--provides a refreshing alternative for believers and seekers alike. We are a More Light congregation, which means we work for the full participation and c

elebration ​of LGBTQIA+​ people in the life, ministry and witness of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and in society. Worship at Edgewood taps ancient church tradition, as well as contemporary informality. Dress ranges from suits to jeans. Classes provide access to modern biblical scholarship and contemporary theological thought.

We are excited to announce that Krysten Carter Holloway has been elected by our Board of Directors as the next President of the Board of Pensions. Krysten has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and benefits administration, strategic planning and business operations, and church leadership, and shares our commitment to serving the Church. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in social work from Hampton University- Official, Hampton, Virginia, and a Master of Health Services Administration from The University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. Krysten’s election marks a historic milestone for the agency, as she will be the first African American woman and the first person of color to become our President and CEO upon confirmation at the 227th General Assembly (2026): https://bit.ly/4u3j7Ll
