Today my heart is filled with memories.
On Friday, my aunt, Rev. Joanna Fletcher, went home to be with the Lord. She was a faithful member of our church family, and we are grateful for the love, kindness, faith, and encouragement she shared with so many.
As I came across this wedding photo from years ago, I couldn’t help but think of both Rev. Fletcher and my uncle. While my uncle passed away before her and was a frequent visitor to our church, both were loved by our family and hold a special place in our hearts.
Rev. Fletcher was more than a church member, she was family. She worshipped with us, prayed with us, celebrated victories with us, and stood with us through life’s many seasons. Her presence will be deeply missed by her church family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
One thing I will always remember is how faithfully she encouraged her nephew, Apostle Dr. Render Godfrey, and her niece, Pastor Erika Godfrey. Whether in person or online, she was always cheering us on, praying for us, and supporting the work God had called us to do. Her encouraging words were a blessing to us and to so many others.
Today, we thank God for the lives of both Rev. Joanna Fletcher and my uncle, for the memories they left behind, and for the impact they had on those who knew them.
Please keep our family and church family in your prayers during this time.
Rev. Joanna Fletcher, thank you for your faithfulness, your prayers, your encouragement, and your example. Job well done, good and faithful servant.
With love and remembrance,
Pastor Erika Godfrey & Apostle Dr. Render Godfrey ❤️🙏
