Youth Choir Tour 2026 is officially in the books! 🚌✨

Our Hixson Youth Choir joined forces with Signal Pres Youth Choir for an unforgettable week. Together we grew deep friendships, strengthened our love for Christ, and leveled up our musical skills.

Here are a few highlights from our journey:

•Masterclass: Dr. Stephen Gusukuma at Furman University coached and polished our music.

•Worship: We had the honor of leading worship at the historic St. Michael’s Church in Charleston.

•Fun: We wrapped up the week chasing thrills on roller coasters at Carowinds!We are praising God for His safety, provisions, and the incredible memories made.🎤

Please join us in celebrating Sarah Jolley as she officially steps into the full-time role of Director of Children’s Ministries this week!

Many of you have already seen Sarah in action during her time as Interim Director, where she has brought creativity, care, and a heart for helping children grow in their faith. We are grateful for the impact she has already made and are excited to see all that God has in store as she steps into this role full-time.

VBS NEEDS YOUR HELP! 🫵

Are you available the week of June 22nd-26th? We need Crew Leaders!

These essential volunteers are responsible for shepherding a group of children through the fun and engaging stations of VBS. The perfect person for this job is ANYONE who can show the love of Jesus to our youngest members and visitors.

Youth, we need you! Youth are also welcome to join the fun of VBS!

We need actors and actresses to bring the story of Paul's Underground church to life during story time! We also need youth musicians to sing on stage at the opening and closing times.

We are pleased to officially welcome Sarah Rowe as the new Church Administrator at Hixson United Methodist Church!

Sarah will begin serving in this role on June 8, and we are grateful for the gifts and leadership she will bring to HUMC.

As we enter this new season together, we ask for your prayers for Sarah, our staff, and our congregation during this transition. May God guide and bless the work ahead as we continue serving our community with faith, compassion, and love.

May is flying by, but there’s still time to help stock up for Fuel for School!

We are continuing to collect boxes of mac & cheese throughout the month to help support local students and families.

Drop your donations by the church anytime during May. Items can be left on the atrium shelves.

By now many of you already know that Rev. Randy Martin claimed the promise of resurrection this week.

Randy served Hixson for many years and was much loved by so many here. Please be in prayer for Randy's family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 21, from 4-6pm at Ooltewah UMC. The funeral service will follow at 6:30pm.

Members of Hixson UMC and Signal Pres Youth Choirs gave a concert for the residents of Alexian Village tonight. They led the audience in a Sound of Music sing-along, and sang a diverse program from a spiritual, an African piece, to J.S. Bach. Thank you, singers, for serving our community with your beautiful singing!🎶🎶🎶

VBS Registration is officially OPEN at Hixson United Methodist Church for Summer 2026! ☀️

Join us June 22–26 from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. for Rome VBS 2026, where kids ages 4 (Pre-K) through 5th grade will step back into Bible times and experience the world of Paul through hands-on adventures, storytelling, music, games, and unforgettable fun.

Children will discover what life was like for the early church in a way that brings Scripture to life right before their eyes.

We can’t wait to welcome your little travelers to Rome this summer.

Looking for a meaningful part-time opportunity to serve behind the scenes at Hixson UMC? We are currently hiring a Part-Time Financial Coordinator to help support the day-to-day financial operations of the church.

This role works closely with our Church Treasurer and Church Administrator in areas including accounts payable, payroll, financial accounting, and maintaining financial records.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with financial systems, and passionate about supporting the ministry and mission of the church through their work.
