Treat Street was full of fall fun, sweet treats, and plenty of creativity! ✨

We’re still smiling over such a wonderful afternoon with our Hixson community, and wanted to share a few more favorite moments from the day!

A big congratulations to our W***y Wonka & the Chocolate Factory themed table for winning Best Candy Table! 🍭🍬

Wishing everyone a happy Halloween this weekend, however you choose to celebrate! 🎃

🎃 Treat Street 2026 was a HIT! 🍬

What a day! With over 500 people in attendance, this year’s Treat Street was one to remember! From creative tables and fun costumes to games, candy, and time spent together, our church was full of fall fun and community spirit. 🧡

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered, helped prepare, and came out to celebrate with us. Events like these are a wonderful reminder of what makes Hixson UMC so special — sharing the joy of Jesus and making connections with our community!

Check out some of the highlights from this year’s Treat Street, and stay tuned! We’ll be sharing more photos and who won the Best Table soon. 🍭

Have you ever been watching a basketball game and expressed that you could do a better job officiating than the professional referees? Come give it a try in a low-stakes environment. We need volunteers to referee our Upward Basketball games on Saturdays from January 9 -- February 27 to help make Upward 2026-27 as vibrant a ministry as it has been in years past. As little as one hour per week would be a big help.

Sign up to volunteer here: https://registration.upward.org/UPW91469/volunteer

Communion is a meaningful way we share in God’s grace, but did you know you can help extend that experience to those who can’t be with us on Sunday mornings?

This Sunday, October 25, at 10 AM in the Main Sanctuary, join us at Hixson UMC for Communion Minister Training and learn how you can bring the gift of Communion to members of our church family who are unable to attend in person.

Curious about what this ministry looks like or how you could be involved? Come learn more! We’d love to have you there.

What does the Kingdom of God mean for our lives today?

Starting tomorrow, join Pastor Adam at Hixson UMC for a new Bible study exploring the Kingdom of God and what Scripture has to say. Choose the time that works best for you: 11:00 AM or 6:30 PM, every Thursday through November 19.

No registration needed—just bring your Bible and come ready to learn! We hope to see you there. 🙏

Vespers Prayer offers a chance to spend time in God’s presence through music, Scripture, prayer, and reflection.

Pastor Matt will lead this special evening service, and if you haven’t experienced Vespers yet, this Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to come and worship with us!

It’s not every day that we get to visit with some of our fellow participants in God’s gracious creation at the church! CDC and PDO have a petting zoo visiting this morning, and we’re getting some free lawn maintenance in the process!
