🌊 What kind of sea are we?

The Sea of Galilee receives and gives. The Dead Sea receives and keeps. As we prepare for Commitment Sunday on October 4, may we prayerfully consider how God is calling us to live generously and give faithfully.

📦 We need boxes!

Our Food Pantry is looking for clean, sturdy cardboard boxes to help volunteers pack and distribute food each week.

The ideal size is approximately 17.7" × 11.4" × 10.3".

Your donation will help us serve our friends and neighbors more efficiently and with care. Thank you for helping us fill our boxes and feed our community!

❤️ This Is How God Works!

Every Thursday, our Food Pantry serves neighbors in need. People begin lining up as early as 7:00 a.m., with food distribution from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Our security officer, Jerry Gregory, knows this ministry personally. He once came here to receive food. Later, he returned to volunteer, and today he serves our church as a security officer.

What a beautiful reminder that God can turn receiving a blessing into an opportunity to be a blessing to others. 🙏

💙 What a wonderful day at First Methodist Church! 💙

We loved welcoming so many families and their precious children to our Child Enrichment Open House today! It was such a joy to see all the smiling faces and welcome families into our church community.

A heartfelt thank-you to all of our teachers, volunteers, and everyone who helped make today such a special and welcoming experience! We are so grateful for each of you and all you do for our children and families. 💙

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back into the building on Tuesday! 🥰

🍞🐟 What can God do with what we have?

This week, we’re reflecting on Jesus feeding 5,000 people with just five loaves and two fish, a miracle found in all four Gospels.

As you read Matthew’s account, consider:

What does this miracle tell us about God?
What does it teach us about discipleship?
How does it point us toward Holy Communion?
