October is Pastor Appreciation Month!

This month, we give thanks for the pastors who faithfully serve our Wesley Memorial family and pour their hearts into the spiritual growth and well-being of our congregation.

We are blessed to have three pastors who each bring their own unique gifts, passions, and callings to our church:

Reverend Dr. Ken Lyon, our Interim Lead Pastor
Reverend Dr. Glenn Myers, our Pastor of Visitation
Reverend Clark Chilton, our Contemporary Service and Evangelism Pastor

Behind every sermon, every prayer, every hospital visit, every word of encouragement, and every moment spent shepherding God’s people is a heart committed to answering the Lord’s call. Ministry requires sacrifice, often in ways that many never see. It means showing up for others, carrying burdens alongside the flock, and faithfully pointing people back to Christ, even when the work is not easy.

Many of us can look back on our spiritual journeys and recognize the ways our pastors’ dedication and encouragement have helped us grow in our faith. Their willingness to serve is a blessing to our congregation, and we are grateful for the ways God works through each of them to strengthen our church family.

This Pastor Appreciation Month, we invite you to say a prayer for your pastors, offer a word of encouragement, write a note of gratitude, or simply take a moment to let them know they are appreciated. Your kindness may mean more than you realize.

To Reverend Dr. Ken Lyon, Reverend Dr. Glenn Myers, and Reverend Clark Chilton: thank you for heeding the call the Lord has placed on your life and for the many sacrifices you make along the way. We thank God for the unique gifts you each bring to Wesley Memorial and for the privilege of growing in faith under your leadership.

Happy Birthday, Stephanie!

We are so blessed to have Stephanie as our Assistant Children’s Ministry Director! Her many talents, loving heart for our children, and dedication to Wesley Memorial shine through in all she does. From leading our wonderful children’s choir to helping our youngest disciples grow in faith, she makes a lasting impact on the lives of our children and families.

Stephanie, thank you for sharing your gifts and showing the love of Christ so beautifully through your ministry. We pray that God blesses you abundantly in the year ahead!

Today we celebrate our Director of Congregational Ministries, Abbigail!

Her passion for the spiritual growth, care, and well-being of our congregation shines brightly through everything she does. Abbigail leads with a genuine heart and a deep love for people. She continually reflects the love of Christ to those around her and is such a blessing to our church family.

We are incredibly grateful for the wisdom, compassion, joy, and dedication she brings to our team and to the lives of so many at Wesley Memorial.
