In β€œDeep Dish” (Isaiah 43:1–7, NRSV), the message begins a β€œdeep and wide” faith series by grounding evangelism in the one truth we can’t miss: God’s love is personal, present, and powerfulβ€”especially when life feels like exile. Speaking to a people who believed they’d been forgotten, God says, β€œDo not fear… I have called you by name, you are mine,” promising not the absence of storms, but His presence through rivers and fire. When we truly grasp that we are precious, honored, and loved by name, sharing faith stops being pressureβ€”and becomes a natural invitation to others.

On Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Join us for this week’s message, "The Church On Fire" from Covenant Church High Point.

In Acts 2, the Holy Spirit falls at Pentecost and the church is born with powerβ€”ordinary people filled with God’s presence, speaking boldly, and pointing straight to the risen Jesus. Peter’s sermon proclaims Christ crucified and raised, the crowd is cut to the heart, and the response is clear: repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Spiritβ€”because the promise is for all whom God calls. The passage closes with a picture of a β€œchurch on fire”: devoted to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, worship, generosity, and daily witness, as God adds to their number.
