Ask. Seek. Knock.

Sometimes we think sharing the Gospel requires a mission trip, special training, or having all the right words. But God has already placed us in our mission field—our workplaces, neighborhoods, and families.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 7:7 to keep asking, seeking, and knocking. We don't have to rely on our own abilities. We can ask God for wisdom, seek His direction, and trust Him to open doors for Gospel conversations.

Our job isn't to change hearts. It's to faithfully point people to the One who can.

Who has God placed in your life today? Start by praying for them, and ask Him to open a door to share His love.

Not every voice we hear is the voice of God. Just because something feels right or sounds spiritual doesn't mean it comes from the Holy Spirit.

God has given us His Word to help us recognize what is true. Before we act, speak, or make decisions, we need to pause, pray, and make sure what we're hearing lines up with Scripture.

Discernment isn't just about making the right decisions. It's about faithfully following the One who leads us.

Are you testing what you hear against God's Word, or simply trusting what feels right?

We live in a world full of voices, opinions, and advice. Some of it may sound spiritual, but that doesn't always mean it comes from God.

The Holy Spirit is still at work, guiding and directing believers today. But learning to recognize His leading requires discernment.

That's why Scripture reminds us to test what we hear against God's Word, rather than simply trusting what sounds or feels right.

📖 1 John 4:1 (NLT) reminds us not to believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit, but to test whether their message comes from God.

Not every voice deserves our attention. Let's be intentional about listening to the One who leads us in truth.

Here's a challenge for this week: Before accepting advice, following a feeling, or acting on something that sounds spiritual, stop and ask: Does this line up with what God's Word teaches?

Our Cornerstone Kids had so much fun bringing The Pumpkin Parable to life! From exploring a pumpkin's gooey insides to decorating their own mini pumpkins, we learned a beautiful truth: Jesus loves us, forgives us, and makes us new!

Through this hands-on lesson, we were reminded that just as the farmer carefully cared for his pumpkin, God cares for each of us. And because of Jesus, we can share His love with those around us!

We love seeing our kids learn about God's Word in fun, memorable ways!

Comparison is one of the quietest thieves in the church. It convinces us that our gift is not as important as someone else’s or that we need a different role before we can really make a difference. But Scripture reminds us that the Holy Spirit is the One who gives each gift, and He does so on purpose. Your gift is not an accident, and it does not have to look impressive to be important. When you faithfully use what God has given you, the whole body grows stronger. Don’t waste time wishing for someone else’s gift—lean into what God has given you and trust that it matters.

Your talent isn't what matters most. Your holiness is.

God's priority is to make us more like Christ. As He continues to work in us, He also equips us to serve others through the gifts He has given us.

Every person has a purpose in the body of Christ, and every gift matters. When we faithfully use what God has entrusted to us, we help strengthen the church, meet needs, and fill gaps in ministry.

It's not about how gifted we are, but how willing we are to let God work in us and through us.

As we continue through Pastor Appreciation Month, we want to take a moment to thank God for Pastor Thomas and his family!

We are so grateful for the way Pastor Thomas faithfully leads, loves, and serves our Cornerstone family. We also recognize and appreciate the love and support of his family.

Our prayer is that God will continue to strengthen, encourage, and bless Pastor Thomas and his family. May He give them wisdom, peace, and joy in the days ahead as we continue to grow together as a church family.

Your personality isn’t something God has to work around—it’s part of how He created you.

Throughout Scripture, God used imperfect people, each with different personalities, strengths, and weaknesses, to accomplish His purposes.

So when you feel called but hesitant, remember: God isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for willingness.

Let the Holy Spirit shape your character while trusting that God can use the person He created you to be.

The Holy Spirit is at work in us—not to erase who we are, but to make us more like Jesus.

As we follow Him, He begins shaping our hearts and growing His fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We don’t have to become someone else. We just keep surrendering to the One who is shaping us from the inside out.

We’re so thankful for the time our ladies shared together at the Thrive Women’s Retreat!

It was a weekend full of worship, prayer, laughter, encouragement, and time in God’s Word. We’re grateful for the ways the Lord worked and for the sweet time spent together.
