Now Hiring: Part-Time Piano Accompanist

Gayton Baptist Church, located in the Short Pump area of Henrico County, VA, is seeking a Part-Time Piano Accompanist to join our worship ministry.

-Approximately 6 hours per week
-Starting at $20/hour (commensurate with experience)

We're looking for someone who is proficient in piano, comfortable accompanying both traditional hymns and contemporary worship music, and excited to serve alongside our worship team in leading our congregation in worship.

Looking for a fun Sunday morning? We've got something for everyone!

Sixth graders - adults are invited to join us for worship at 10:00 AM, where Rev. Bryon LePere will continue our series in Mark with a message titled "The Burial of Jesus" (Mark 15:42–47). We'll also celebrate Baptism Sunday as we rejoice with those publicly professing their faith in Christ.

While adults are in worship, children will have an engaging morning in:
-Nursery
-Preschool Worship
-Elementary Worship, where Pastor Hillary will teach "God Cares for Us" from Psalm 23

Then, at 11:00 AM, the fun continues! Families whose children attended Kids Ministry that morning are invited to the playground for popsicles (provided by Gayton), playtime, and fellowship. This is a family fellowship event, so parents are asked to remain with their children.

It's the perfect opportunity for kids to laugh and play, for parents to connect, and for everyone to enjoy a sweet summer treat together.

There will be no other Kids Min programming at this hour.

At 11:00 AM, we will also hold our Bible Study hour for 6th grade - adults, with classes for everyone!

Whether you're part of the Gayton family or visiting for the first time, we'd love to welcome you. Bring the kids, invite some friends, and plan to stay after worship—we can't wait to see you!

P.S. Our Youth Messy Game Night, scheduled for 6:00 PM that night has been postponed to due to the weather forecast. Stay tuned for the new date!

Happy Birthday, Rev. Bryon LePere! Although Gayton's Senior Pastor officially celebrates his birthday this Saturday, July 11, he received an early surprise when the QUEST campers sang "Happy Birthday" and presented him with a handmade card. As we gather with family and friends today, may we remember the freedom, hope, and new life we have through Jesus Christ. We also give thanks for those who have served and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy.

We would like to wish our pianist, David Kim, all the best as he prepares to begin his new position as Music Director/Pastor at Spring Run Presbyterian Church in Midlothian.

This Sunday, June 28, will be David's last Sunday with us at Gayton Baptist Church. While we are saddened to see him go, we are grateful for the talent, dedication, and faithful service he has shared with our church family. Through his music and ministry, David has helped lead us in worship and has been a blessing to our congregation.

As he begins this new chapter, we celebrate God's calling on his life and look forward to seeing how God will continue to work through him in ministry.

Please join us in thanking David for his service and praying for him as he transitions into this new role. We wish him God's richest blessings and every success in the journey ahead.

And they're off! Please join us in praying for our Youth and leaders as they serve in Lynchburg this week. They will be sharing the love of Christ through Vacation Bible School at the Jubilee Center while also growing in faith through worship, fellowship, and service together. We are grateful for everyone who donated food and craft supplies to help make this mission experience possible. May God bless their work and use them to be a light to all they meet.
