A very bittersweet day at Cambridge / Vertical church.

Sweet with the ordination of our very own Claire McAuliffe as Pastor, and her first official act with the child dedication of her own nephew Luke (and some tasty lunch).

Bitter sad because this is the last official service of all things Cambridge. The last communion, the last song, the last fellowship, the last commissioning, and the last dedication.

A church is not a building, it's a fellowship of believers. We have handed over the building to the mighty Vertical Church and we have placed her into very capable hands that will make new amazing memories.

Today we yield our space to Vertical Church, as they begin their second decade as a church! Congratulations, Vertical!

Thank you to all who came out this morning for our yard sale. We raised $262.25 for Annie Armstrong Easter Offering! 🕊️🙌

Not just your average day at Cambridge. Executive Pastor Win Davis of the Dover Baptist Association and our beloved very own former pastor delivering the emotional last message before voting on which candidate Cambridge would partner with for the future.

This week we will start writing a new chapter in the history our Cambridge Baptist Church family. It is not about a building, and there's nothing sacred about the name "Cambridge Baptist Church".

It absolutely IS about the wonderful family of people that are on this journey together.

A day of great emotions and decisions. Celebrating our very own treasure Eugene C. Smith's last day at Cambridge.

We follow the God who parts waters and calms storms! May His security reign in the hearts of those "who love him and are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28) no matter their circumstances and the waves of change. Amen?!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
"1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. 9 What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."
