Larry Jackson became a member of Pilgrim Journey when he was just a boy. Although he was not actively involved in the church throughout much of his adult life, he always remained connected to Pilgrim Journey and maintained his membership. From time to time, when he was able, you may have seen Larry quietly sitting in one of the back pews, worshiping with us in his own way. Larry will be remembered as a longtime member of our church family. May he rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

The memorial service will be held here on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 1pm.

When someone asks what she did at the church, the real question is: what DIDN'T she do? Ruthie Mae's lifelong membership at Pilgrim was filled with service, from official church duties like ushering to unofficial work like arranging bus trips to pro football games. Her incredible kindness and helping hands will be greatly missed.

The Homegoing Service for Ruthie Mae Woodson will be here at Pilgrim on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 11am. Visitation will occur the day before, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA, from 9am until 6pm.

Richard Johnson was the devoted husband of Pilgrim's much loved former trustee, Florestine (Stine) Metoyer Johnson. Over the years, whenever our Stine asked him, he kindly helped various ministries with their printing needs. And now, he has gone to be with Florestine again. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Richard's homegoing service will be here on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11am. Visitation will occur during the previous hour, at 10am. He will be laid to rest at the Virginia Veteran's Cemetery in Amelia at 10300 Pridesville Rd. The homegoing service will be streamed on our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/.
