Today, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of the people who keep our families, businesses, schools, and communities moving forward.

At HCCO, we are especially thankful for the many volunteers who give their time and energy to serve our neighbors. You may not always see the work happening behind the scenes, but your hands make a difference. From unloading trucks and stocking shelves to helping families in our pantry, every job matters.

Today, we hope you take a well-deserved moment to rest, recharge, and enjoy the people around you.

Labor Day weekend is here! Before we head into the long weekend, we want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who works hard to make our community a better place.

From our volunteers and staff to the businesses, churches, donors, and community partners who support HCCO—your time, talents, and hard work make a difference every single day.

We’re back for another year of Darrell’s legendary beard—because honestly, a beard this impressive deserves its own annual celebration. 😂

Some things change from year to year… but Darrell’s beard? Still legendary. Still magnificent. Still Santa-approved. 🎅

Of course, the beard isn't the only thing that makes Darrell special. Whether he's unloading trucks, stocking shelves, helping our pantry families, or making everyone laugh, Darrell brings plenty of personality to HCCO.

And yes… we had to bring back the silly picture because a beard this good should never be taken too seriously. 😜

“You have the power to protect your peace.”

Not everything deserves your energy. Not every situation needs a response. And not every problem has to be carried into a new week.

This Monday, give yourself permission to step back, set boundaries, focus on what truly matters, and choose peace when you can. ❤️

Protect your heart. Protect your time. Protect your peace.

And remember—sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself and others is simply to pause, breathe, and let God handle what you cannot.

And just like that… we’ve reached the last Friday of August! 🍂

What a month it has been at HCCO! From serving families in our pantry to welcoming volunteers, celebrating our amazing community partners, and continuing our 40-year mission, we are so thankful for everyone who helps make our work possible.

As you head into the weekend, take a moment to slow down, enjoy the people you love, and remember to be grateful for the little things.

❤️ Supporting Our Community—One Step at a Time! 🦊👟

Well… Ms. Susan may have learned that sponsoring a 5K can come with a little more exercise than expected! 😂

HCCO was proud to support the FOX 5K benefiting Father Bradley Shelter, and apparently “being a sponsor” meant walking 3 miles! 😅

A huge thank you to Lisa O’Nan and Danny for sweating it out alongside Susan and making it a little more fun. ❤️

Susan says it was her first 5K and most likely her last… although we aren't sure we're letting her off that easily! 🤪

We love seeing our community come together to support organizations doing important work for our neighbors. Thank you to everyone who helped make the FOX 5K a success!

Now excuse Ms. Susan while she tries to remember how walking is supposed to work. 😂
