I Am a Disciple Sunday school: 6 September 2026 Truth about God: God expects us to follow the teachings of His Word. Truth for my life: If I am to be a disciple of Jesus, I will follow His teaching. Focus verse: LUKE 6:46 AND WHY CALL ME LORD, LORD AND DO NOT THE THINGS WHICH I SAY? Lesson text: Luke 6:20-38,44-49 LUKE 6:20-38 20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. LUKE 6:44-49 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. What is it that makes one a disciple? We see in John 8:31 Jesus directed His attention to the Jews that believed and said, “If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; v32 And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”. To continue in His Word is to be a hearer and a doer of the Holy scriptures, and this will keep you free. The Word of God, the Holy bible is God’s will. We see in the early part of the lesson, we are blessed when we are hungry (spiritually/naturally) because you shall be filled, your weeping shall be turned to laughter, when you are separated and disgraced as evil for Jesus name sake, we are told to rejoice in that day because great is your reward in heaven. These times of trying are what makes us who we are in Christ, no one likes going into a valley experience, but friend, what walks out of the valley is stronger than what went in. Obedience is key, you hear and obey, this is what keeps you from an evil heart of unbelief, too much disobedience can destroy you. If you are one who has been disobedient simply find a place and get quiet with the Lord and repent, this is how simple it is: repentance covers a multitude of sins, friend. A certain man had two sons, (Mt 21:28) and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? Friend, this is how simple it is, repentance makes it right for the first son. We find a tree is known by its fruit, an apple tree brings forth apples orange tree oranges, same applies to people, a good man brings forth treasures out of his good heart an evil man/woman brings forth evil things out of his/her heart, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, to be the smartest man/woman in the room just listen, what's coming out of everyone's mouth will tell you what is in their heart. “Jesus said, Those that hear and do my Words, I will show you to whom he is like”. He is like a man who built a house, dug deep and laid the foundation on a rock (Christ), and the storms of life came and beat upon that house and could not shake it, because it was founded upon a rock (Christ). The promise of this parable is the storms of life will come friend, we do not like them, but they will come, but the even brighter promise of this parable is the house, will not be shaken for it is founded upon a rock and no matter how violently the storms beat against it, it was not shaken. We see the parable continues and describes the house built by the disobedient, it fell and great was the fall of it. Not a whole lot to say of that one, but the promises are to the obedient. Friend I urge you this day to continue in the Words of our Lord, holding fast to that which you know to be true. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

The Covenant Fulfilled Sunday school: August 30 2026 Truth for my life: I will prepare myself to live in covenant with Jesus. Truth about covenant: Jesus makes all things new and restores creation through His eternal plan. Lesson text: Revelation 21:1-9, 23-27. Focus verse: Revelation 21:5-7 REVELATION 21:1-9, 23-27 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. REV 21:23-27 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Is it important to have your name in the Lambs book of life? Yes it is eternally important, satan’s only plan is to rob you of this wonderful plan of God. All have sinned and are in need of salvation, which can only be found in Jesus Christ. Everything you have heard of heaven is good, this gives a glimpse into our eternal destination, it will be prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. The tabernacle of God will be with men, like in the garden, God himself shall be with them. Every tear God will wipe away (verse 4) all tears from our eyes, can you imagine no more death, sorrow, crying, no more pain (mental, physical or spiritual) for the former things are passed away. Already sounds like a place I would like to go. In verse 5, Jesus makes all things new, we will freely be able to drink from the fountain of life and verse 7, we who overcome shall inherit all things. Friend this at all cost has to be obtained, from where we stand at the moment it looks far away but really is not, time seems to be in fast forward and the best is yet to come. We see by verse 8 the ones who will not make it, the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars. All these will have their place in the lake that burneth with brimstone: which is the second death. Do keep in mind only satan and the angels that followed him were supposed to go here, not anyone else. It is not God’s will that any should perish, that is the plan of God, the most dangerous thing to God’s plan is our plan, we have been given free will and have a choice to make whether we serve God or the devil, there is no in between. Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. God’s plan is simple it is in His Word, the Holy bible, follow it and we will be neighbors for eternity. When you visit family it seems to go so fast, but friend in heaven we will have eternity to visit forever. Friend Jesus paid a big price for this eternal rest, do not miss it. Where will you spend eternity? Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

The Throne Room Sunday school: 23 August 2026 Truth about Covenant: Being in covenant gives us peace that God is in control and has a plan to redeem His creation. Truth for my life: By God’s Spirit, I will promote peace amid a world of chaos. Focus verse: Revelation 5:5 Lesson text: Revelation 4-5 REVELATION 4 1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. REVELATION 5 1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, for His name alone is excellent. The question was asked, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof ? No one in heaven or on earth was found, no one even able to look upon it. John began to weep, friend, can you imagine a world without Jesus and no hope, this is why John cried. Weep not said the Elder, Behold the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David has prevailed to open the book and to loose the seven seals thereof. Well friend can you say amen, hallelujah, thank you Jesus. If there was no Jesus we of all men would be most miserable, we would have no hope. For all have sinned, there is a penalty for sin, we cannot save ourselves, but we can say thank you Jesus for providing so great a salvation, friend do not neglect it. Paul and Cilas went from walking around sharing Jesus, to casting out a spirit of divination, then beaten and cast into the inner prison. Sometimes what would seem as a set back in the natural, God calls being in His will. They were right where God wanted them, as they began to stir they prayed and sang praises unto God and there was a God kind of earthquake very specific that shook the prison and immediately everyone's band fell off. Prayer and praise are powerful, in the end they led the jailers and his household to Christ, and went on their way free. He will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trust in him. John did not have peace and began to weep because there was no one worthy, friend we would weep also if we did not know Jesus. This is why we pray without ceasing, and our praise is never ending, we have the hope of all hopes living inside of us. There is salvation in no other name, Christ is the only way, can you say amen? The whole family in heaven and earth go by this name, Jesus. There is only one who died for all, there was only one who could open the book and when He took the book they fell before Him. Friend, we have come too far to lose focus now. While walking on the water Peter was looking to Jesus, when he started focusing on his situation did he get disturbed and began to sink. If you find yourself sinking under the waves and storms of everyday life, call out to Jesus, the same way Peter did and He will reach His hand down to you friend. Let go of every weight and sin that so easily besets us and draw near with a full heart of assurance, and run our race with patience. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

The Armor of God Sunday school: August 16 2026 Truth for my life: I will wield the Armor of God against spiritual enemies. Truth about covenant: Although life in covenant involves spiritual opposition, God’s Spirit works in our lives like armor to give us the victory. Lesson text: Ephesians 6:10-18. Focus verse: Ephesians 6:13 EPHESIANS 6:10-18 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; The Holy scriptures tell us we walk in the flesh but do not war after the flesh, the weapons of our warfare or not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Jesus said, I have all power in heaven and in earth, all means all. The Centurion understood warfare and was powerless to fight this sickness that came against his servant. He went to Jesus and said I understand authority, I tell a soldier to do this and he does it, a servant to do that and they do it, you need not come to my house, just speak the word and my servant will be healed, Jesus told all standing there He had not found so great a faith in all of Israel, the servant was healed that hour. Jesus said it is expedient that I go away or the Spirit will not come, He said I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Friends we are in a war, a spiritual war, fleshly ways of fighting will not get you through safely, spiritual wickedness will only be defeated by the power of the Holy Ghost living inside of a believer. It takes a Spirit that has all power to defeat a devil that has been doing what he does since the garden. A soldier does not go to war unprepared and unequipped, neither should we. The evil spirit in the book of Acts said, Jesus I know and Paul I know but who are you? He was attempting to cast a demon out of someone, something he was not authorized without the Holy Spirit to do, Jesus knew and so did the devil. In Paul's prayer for the Ephesian believers he said, Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. That power friend is faith in knowing that a Spirit filled believer has been given delegated authority to use the name of Jesus. A natural body needs protection, but so does a spiritual body. As Israel stood at the sea and Moses said stand still and see the salvation, we also at times must stand and stand therefore in your most holy faith. We can do no more but wait in faith, are we prepared instant in season,to give an answer to all who ask, why we believe what we believe? Study to show thyself approved unto God. A breastplate covers your heart in the natural, spiritually it protects you from an evil heart of unbelief and keeps you right with God. A shield was put in front to protect you from all the attacks of the enemy in the natural, spiritually your faith will do the same, reports come, we may see a lot, but we walk by faith not by sight, we go by the report Jesus has given, not an evil report. A helmet protects your head in the natural, spiritually the mind, the main warfare is fought between your two ears, in your mind. The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. This is your weapon to crush every lie of the enemy, while in the wilderness Jesus three times used the scriptures saying “it is written” and He quoted the scripture to satan, friend what is written over rides anything else, mixed with faith unstoppable. We need to know what is written, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Praying always in the Spirit and watching with all perseverance for all the body of Christ. A soldier in the army of the Lord so equipped will not fall, being confident of this, He that has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Fight the good fight of faith, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

The Fruit of the Spirit Sunday school: 9 August 2026 Truth about Covenant: Living in covenant is the best life we could live. Truth for my life: I will allow God’s Spirit to bear fruit in my life. Focus verse: Galatians 5:24-25 Lesson text: Galatians 5:16-24 GALATIANS 5:16-24 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. We are baptised in Jesus name for the remission of sins, filled with His Spirit the Holy Ghost, become part of the body of Christ the church, and friend the war is on. At this point of your life it is crucial to keep seeking the guiding of the Spirit, we do not lean unto our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct our paths. The flesh and the Spirit war against one another, not compatible at all, which one prevails is the one you feed the most. Fruit of the Spirit is close to what we call “results”. For example, someone worked hard and now they are seeing the results of it paying off. In the same aspect we read or hear about ministries of the past, but friends all we hear about is the fruit of their labors. Most want what someone else has but do not want to put the hours in to attain it. Paul wore scars on his body to prove to be a Christian is not easy, to be a follower of Christ is not for the faint of heart. This is why we are to seek Him with our whole heart, half hearted service pleases no one, do all you do as unto the Lord. The Spirit is directly fed by the Word, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, this whole bible is the Word of God, closed it can do nothing, but to open and hear and do the Word you now have strengthened the Spirit dwelling in you. Now you have to understand this flesh does not like to read the Holy scriptures, it hungers and thirsts, but not after righteousness. I knew a man once who could not go to church because the kick off was at noon, church did not let out until noon and he would miss the start of the game. Today he is a preacher of the gospel, the Lord has a way of getting us where we need to be. The answer to everything, is simply be led by the Spirit, our preacher says to pray until you get peace one way or another, and that peace you follow. Paul had plans to go to Macedonia but the Spirit said no, later in a vision the Spirit said go, timing with God is key, he went but when God said to. Another time the Lord told him to preach and not hold his peace, then another the Spirit let Paul know they would not receive the Word to get out of Jerusalem. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path. Grow in the Lord, wax strong in Spirit, from glory to glory. Study these fruits and examine yourself, are we where we need to be? Friends do not be left behind on that great day. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
