Summer Art & Scripture Potluck – July 8, 5:30-8 pm, at Plains Mennonite Church

We had a great gathering of over 50 people for our first Summer Art & Scripture Gathering in late June, you can see some of our work in the pictures below.

Our second gathering will be on Wednesday, July 8, from 5:30-8pm at Plains Mennonite Church (pavilion or basement depending on weather).

We'll share a potluck meal, engage interactively with Matt 4:1-17, and create art together in a welcoming environment for all ages and experience levels.

This month's art experience will be led by Janine Bergey and we will be making collage with photos of God's creation. No artistic experience needed; just bring a dish to share and a willingness to create in community! Contact Jenn Svetlik or Andrew Zetts with questions or to let us know you're coming.

And save the date for the next bring-your-own-lunch in the grove after worship on Sunday, July 12!

Summer Art & Scripture Potluck – June 24 5:30-8 P.M.

Join us for the first of our Summer Art & Scripture Gatherings with Salford and Plains Mennonite! We'll share a potluck meal, engage interactively with Matthew 6:7-34, and create art together in a welcoming environment for all ages and experience levels.

This month's art experience will be led by Becca Beels and Kelsey Riley. Using a combination of stamps/printmaking and drawing, we'll explore Jesus' images of the birds of the air and the lilies of the field as we reflect on trust, worry, and what we treasure. Join us in the Salford Fellowship Hall.

No artistic experience needed; just bring a dish to share and a willingness to create in community!

Our 21st year of Peace Camp is off to a wonderful start! Cooperative games, a collaborative art project with an homage to the role quilts have played in our community's history, time in the Salford-Advent Lutheran Church garden, and more!

Pray for the 55 campers, the 20 youth helpers, adult leaders, and kitchen crew, as we build community and follow the peaceable way of Jesus together.

Curiosity Project Second Hour This Sunday, April 26—Person of Peace

This week Pastor Andrew will lead the Curiosity Project Second Hour class. The group will discuss People of Peace in our community. These are people who are hospitable and share our convictions. For example, is there a librarian with whom you share connections and would be happy to host a meeting at the library? Is there a local coach who might be willing to help us organize youth events?

There are people in our community with whom we have things in common and who are for us, not against us. Who are they and where are they?

See the attached document For more information about this month's practice.
