YOU ARE INVITED - SATURDAY MORNINGS in the Salford Mennonite and Advent Lutheran Community Garden. (480 Groffs Mill Road, Harleysville). Growing healthy food for community needs. Here's what the Gardener/leader of this ministry said:
This Saturday we plant our summer plants, tomatoes, Zuchunni, Cucumbers and String beans. Next week we plant our 400 + pepper plants. After all are in the ground and happy, we can start to set our cages around the toms and peppers. The Zucchini, Cucumbers and String beans will be covered with insect netting until close to harvest. The very last planting will be our sweet potatoes and an extra row of potatoes. After that we can start to plant more flowers and soon the garden will look spectacular!
