7 days until the “Pack-A-Ton for Harlan County”.

Great news, because of the community’s response we have doubled the pack. We will now be packing 20,160 meals. We need more volunteers! So help spread the word, and shoot us a message saying you’re coming. We need 50 to 60 spots filled. Come help us feed the community, both physically and with Jesus!

Event is Tuesday, June 9th. Come on out to Christ’s Hands at 112 Railroad Street. Pack starts at 10 AM. Spread the word!

Christ's Hands and Feed the Hunger Pack-a-Thon

Thank you to Harlan County High School, Harlan High School and the community for joining together to fight hunger with Christ's Hands and Feed the Hunger!

Over 150 students and community volunteers came together throughout the day on Tuesday to pack over 26,000 meals to be distributed both locally and globally. Two pallets will be distributed through Christ's Hands food pantry and children's home delivery food box program; 1 pallet will be sent to a food pantry in Elkhorn City, KY that recently suffered a total loss due to fire; and 1 pallet will be sent to Jamaica with Feed the Hunger.

Home Food Delivery Program

Your family may be eligible to participate in the Rural Home Delivery Program at Christ’s Hands for the 2025-2026 school year. Christ’s Hands is a food relief organization located in downtown Harlan, KY; we endeavor to promote the knowledge of Jesus Christ through service to our community. We have been awarded a grant by the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation to continue our home food box delivery program. You could be eligible to receive one box a month delivered to your home by volunteers from a local church. If you would like to participate, please fill out the following form in its entirety.

Currently open to families who have children under 18 in the home within Harlan County, Kentucky.

Good afternoon. We are in need of volunteers in different areas of ministry. On Tuesdays we need help cooking in the morning, on Wednesday we need help picking up donations in the morning and on Thursdays we need help delivering meals to Loyall in the afternoon. Please call 573-6030 and ask for Natasha, our volunteer coordinator. Will YOU help us serve our neighbors in need?

In May, we received over 2000 pounds of food from our local Letter Carriers and our US Post Offices. Their "Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive" has assisted Christ's Hands in helping fight food insecurity in Harlan County for many years. Thank you all!
