Good Saturday from the property and the view from the new outdoor stage!
Just a few thoughts to share today.
I am 47 years old and have spent 24 years in ministry. I truly believe this vision and the goal of the Harlan Mission Outreach is part of the calling God has placed on my life to fulfill.
I don’t know how much time I have left on this earth—none of us do. If it's God's will, I hope to live to be an old man. I hope to see my boys raised, to see grandchildren and great-grandchildren someday, but all of that is in the Lord’s hands.
I also hope to see this project completed, all for God’s glory. I hope to see what the Lord does with this place for many years to come. And whenever my last breath on this earth comes, my prayer is that I can have peace knowing the Mission will continue for generations to come, still making a difference for Jesus in Harlan County and throughout our area.
I commit this project completely to Jesus.
To say I have never been nervous about this endeavor would be a lie. There have certainly been moments when the size of the vision and what is still needed has felt overwhelming. Yet through it all, I have had peace that God would provide. If it is His will, it will be finished. It will be what it needs to be, and it will be done well.
Today, I simply ask for your prayers.
Pray that I won’t become discouraged when the finish line still seems far away. Pray for God’s provision. Pray that hearts will be opened to see that this is a legitimate, long-term, REAL project that can impact Harlan County for Christ for generations to come.
Pray that hearts will be opened to invest in this vision and help us reach the finish line. Pray that those who are able to help will feel led to pour into this project, knowing that what they give will be taken seriously, used wisely, and ultimately used for God’s glory.
I am extremely thankful for what has already happened and for how far we have come. So much time, work, prayer, giving, sacrifice, and generosity have already gone into this property. Thank you to every person who has helped us get this far. Thank you to our Mission family for continuing to be faithful in so many ways, and thank you to those both inside Harlan County and outside our county who have cared enough to pray, give, work, encourage, and believe in this vision.

We are so, so close!
Please pray for the $80,000 needed to pave this parking lot and the resources to expand it if need be. Pray for the remaining $40,000 we have estimated for the furnishings, lighting, equipment needed for the Worship/Youth building and the outdoor stage, and for an outside recreation area for the children and teens.
Possibly consider a donation in memory of a loved one. There will be a nice plaque "In Memory" with any names that are added inside of this building for all to see for years to come.
We are getting so close to opening the doors and using this property for what it was intended for—to reach people, serve our community, and share Jesus.
The vision is becoming a reality. The finish line is getting closer.
I give this entire project to Jesus. May it always be His, may it always be about Him, and may everything that happens there bring glory to His name.
