Two items for this weekend..."Good Grief" and GOOD NEWS!
1) Our "Good Grief" message series continues tomorrow with the theme: "Avoiding Avoidance."
In a world that moves forward when we experience loss, a health challenge or a significant change in our lives...it's easy to simply "move on" and avoid how we are feeling.
Yet, God created us to have feelings and emotions. It's important to speak of how we are feeling rather than avoid them in order that we heal and allow God's presence into our lives through the support of other people.
Our scripture focus will be the first Good Friday when Jesus died for our sins on the cross.
2) GOOD NEWS!
We have received $125,953.95 towards our $150,000 goal for our roof project... that is 84% of our goal!
Financial giving is often lower in congregations during the summer and since our Matching Fund Appeal began in June....you have responded in an inspiring way.
If you have not yet given towards our Fund Appeal, you can still do so and help us reach our goal. If you worship with us on-line, your gift can be mailed to our office (Glen Cary Lutheran, 15531 Central Ave NE; Ham Lake, MN; 55304) and note "Roof Fund Appeal" on the memo line.
Remember everyone...your gift is automatically doubled and every gift matters!
