This week we continue in our series, Perspectives, where we will pull back the curtain on the role and heart of our Next Gen Pastor. How are we sharing the good news of Jesus with the Next Generation here at Rocklane? How do we plan to do this as a church? Our main passage for this sermon will be Psalm 78:1-8. Our prayer is that this passage will guide our church as we strive to serve families together.

Why do we sing? How does worship shape our faith? And what role do each of us play when we gather as the church? Together, we’ll explore how worship tells the story of the Gospel, forms us in the way of Jesus, and reminds us that we are all stewards of God’s grace.

This week we start a new series called: Perspectives - How Pastors Love the Church. We don’t see titles like Executive Pastor, Next Gen Pastor, etc. in the scriptures so why do they exist in the current church? Our foundational text is 1 Peter 4:10

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

Each week one of our pastors will share their pastoral perspective of their role, how it connects to scripture, and how we pastor even when it isn’t always seen.

Our hope is to not only to help pull back the curtain of ministry at Rocklane but to also inspire each of us to recognize and use our gifts to serve one another.

We exist to help people know God. This is our mission at Rocklane Christian Church. Doing God’s work is one way to know God better. This week will be sitting down with one of our mission partners TCM to talk about how they are doing God’s work, how we are partnering with them and what we, the church, and we, the individual, can do to get involved and support them and the Great Commission!

As we wrap up our 3-part series on the Sabbath, this week we will focus on the response of the people from Jeremiah 6:16 when in response to God's invitation to walk in his way and find rest, they replied, "We will not walk in it." As we prepare our hearts for our time together on Sunday, reflect on this question, "Why is it so hard for us to accept God's invitation to follow Him and find rest for our souls?"

We begin our three part series on the Biblical view of the Sabbath. Mark Goins will jump start this teaching on Sunday.

We will be learning the Old Testament view of the Sabbath, how Jesus changes our understanding and how we can practice the Sabbath today!

Our key verse will be Jeremiah 6:16.
