stry and our individual lives. Godly Leadership: We believe that our words about our Lord are made authentic by lives lived according to His word. Care Giving: The love of Jesus flows not only to us but through us to one another and to those outside the church. Holy Spirit: God’s Holy Spirit is at work within us (if we invite Him) to comfort, guide, transform and empower us. Grace: The abundant love and forgiveness offered to us by God through Jesus are not earned or deserved. They are free gifts by God’s grace which we humbly and gratefully receive and then share. Transformation: Growing to be like Christ is a continual transformation that takes a lifetime. As we worship God and allow Him to transform our lives, He heals our brokenness, enlightens our minds, softens our hearts, and fills us with His grace and love. Evangelism and the Great Commission: We believe Jesus included all of us in His great commission to go to all the world spreading the good news of His amazing grace and inviting all to become His faithful disciples.

This is our monthly, local, JourneyMates Community hosted at Stanwich Church! Approximately thirty women gather and covenant to “show up, pay attention, and tell the truth” of their lives. Together, they make space to slow down for three hours, opening their hearts to notice and join in God’s formational work. We are so proud of our Confirmands! Something incredible happens when you say "yes" to God and over the past four months these students have been active participants in their faith journey, investing in their faith, and really taking ownership.

Confirmation is not just checking-the-box, or doing another thing to "make" God love you, or heading off into the sunset after graduation from Christianity. This is just the beginning of a spirit-filled life in Christ!

A big thank you to all the parents who responded to "seeking the kingdom first" as a priority for your students, to all of our mentors, and to Rocco and Lauren who led this year's Confirmation class.

This weekend, celebrate Confirmation Sunday with our students taking this special step in their spiritual journey. They have been asking big, thoughtful questions about faith and exploring the answers together as a class. Here they are pictured with their mentors - God is stirring in their hearts and we continue to lift this group up in prayer!

The Confirmation ceremony will take place during 10:45 AM worship, and several students will share their testimonies during both the 9 AM and 10:45 AM services.

Our kids are prayer warriors! You may have noticed kneelers missing from the Sanctuary recently because Miss Tracy has been practicing prayer with the children in Kids Church as they explore "The Kingdom of God" along with the adults in our current sermon series. On Sunday their voices led the congregation in The Lord's Prayer as they knelt at the altar and came to our Father.

Student Ministry Co-Leaders Craig and Lauren traveled with a crew from Stanwich to the Alpha Leadership Conference in London. It was two full days of powerful sermons, honest testimonies, and getting to worship with people from all over the world. They’re leaving refreshed, stretched (in the best way), and so expectant for what God wants to do in the next generation!

We pray there would be an electric sense of God’s presence and joy in our Stamford Campus, accompanied by signs that he is alive and healing our people and this city!

On the Anniversary of Commitment Sunday over 100 people joined us in Stamford to celebrate. We gathered for worship together, held guided tours for a "first look" at the interior, and heard "next steps" with Pastor Jelani.

Members of our congregation have given, and continue to give, sacrificially to see the vision of Stanwich in Stamford realized - and it is becoming more and more real every day.

The Lord bless this body to be an abundant representation of the nations, who will believe, agree, and act according to his will.

A group from Stanwich "filling in the blanks" by packing bags full of nutritious weekend meals for kids! The organization Filling in the Blanks recognized that while many students depend on free or reduced-price school meals during the week, weekends often leave a critical gap in nutrition. Drawing on their shared commitment to children, community service, and philanthropy, Filling in the Blanks created a weekend meal bag program designed to close that gap.

Dr. Wanda Walborn echoed foundational reminders from the apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 1:3-14 in her charge to Gina on her ordination, followed by the congregational response: Father, I confess that I have places where I pretend I am okay. I have not always chosen to fan into flame the gifts of God within me and I have, at times, allowed my fear to stop me, opening myself up to losing my good deposit. I wake up today and choose to remember and act with sincere faith, as I fan my gifts into flame. I receive your spirit of power, love, and a sound mind and I will diligently guard the good deposit that I have been entrusted with. In Jesus name, Amen.
