God's love is the foundation of our identity and life, not something we earn through performance or obedience. When love is foundational, we are free to live authentically rather than constantly striving to prove our worth. Scripture consistently portrays God's love as initiating and restoring, showing that our Father's heart is always ready to embrace.

Our Kid's Summer Adventure is two weeks away and we are praying that God will capture the heart of every child and volunteer who embarks on this week-long journey through Rainforest Falls to discover what it means to be rooted in a relationship with Jesus. Step through the mist and come along!

Praise God with us for the 15 candidates who were baptized or rededicated on Sunday! May God bless their identity received from our Father God as his children.

Jesus' baptism provides a profound example of the significance of God the father as our Identity Giver. Before Jesus' ministry began, God spoke over Jesus, affirming him as "My Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased." This reveals that our true identity is not earned through achievements, performance, or the approval of others, but received directly from the Father. When we hear God's voice declaring who we are, it sets the foundation for confidence, purpose, and belonging.

Delight abounded at our All-Church Picnic - from the BBQ pit and homemade classics to overflowing plates, an unexpected dazzling balloon arch, pink spirals of cotton candy, dueling slides, and intergenerational games of nine-square and old school whiffle ball - the community at Stanwich Church blessed each other and received.

Scaffolding is down along the exterior facade of our Stamford Campus! We continue to pray for God's kingdom to come and for his will to be done in this building and community. We pray for the worship that will take place here, the preaching of the gospel, and the word of God. We pray for encounters with Jesus and to see him heal emotional wounds and physical disease, “not by might, nor by our power, but by his Holy Spirit.” (Zechariah 4:6)

We are celebrating life at Stanwich this Sunday with our All-Church Picnic after the 10:45 AM service. Our kitchen crew will be grilling up hamburgers and hot dogs, kids will be playing on the lawn, and you'll bring your favorite sides or desserts to share. As we kick-off summer and new seasonal rhythms approach, we hold gratitude for the community here whose presence blesses each other, and who walks alongside and waits on God together.

Stanwich Students took a trip to our Stamford Campus recently during Small Groups! They toured the space and had the opportunity to pray and worship together in what will become our new sanctuary (note the prayers taped to the glass). It was a special night as they looked ahead with excitement for all that God will do in this new space.

We are called to treasure the kingdom of God above all else, but that only happens when we first discover the good news of the gospel - that Jesus first treasured us!

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it." (Matthew 13:45–46)
