**********SPRING SPECTACULAR***********

We had a good turnout for our annual St. Mary's Spring Spectacular which took place on Monday, April 20th! There were science, history, and art projects displayed all over the school!

Our MUSIC PROGRAM is run by one of our new teachers this year - Mrs. Becky Hootman! she actually has been teaching for 38 years in the Arcanum School District! She recently had the 5th and 6th grade students make homemade instruments from discarded items they found at home. The students were VERY CREATIVE and most got them done in time to display at our annual Spring Spectacular! Great job everyone! I will post the rest of the pictures next time - I couldn't fit them all!

Another great club that St. Mary's School provides is CHESS CLUB! Mr. Rick Pierri leads this group, teaching kids how to play chess and its many strategies. On the day that I took these pictures, there weren't as many students as there usually are. Normally, the numbers are double or triple! The students enjoy this so much that they sometimes play chess during their recess time! It's great for the brain!

Congratulations to the second graders who made their First Holy Communion on Aril 18th! Around here, we celebrate special events such as this with donuts and juice/milk with the whole school after congratulating each First Communicant!
