We kicked off our new sermon series, Doctrine of Demons, with Pastor Jeff sharing a powerful truth from God’s Word: “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!” (1 John 4:4)

Facing spiritual darkness and confusion in the world can leave us feeling overwhelmed, but we have nothing to fear when our hope is anchored in Jesus Christ! His truth is greater than every lie, every deception, and every false teaching. We don’t have to be shaken by the darkness around us because we serve a God who has already overcome the world.

As we stand firm in God’s Word and grow in our understanding of His truth, we can walk in faith rather than fear, confident that the power of Christ in us is greater than any opposition we may face.

The darkness is real, but Jesus is greater!

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we want to take some time as a church family to celebrate and honor our pastors!

Our pastors faithfully serve, pray, teach, encourage, lead, and pour into our church family week after week. This month is a wonderful opportunity for us to show them just how much their love, sacrifice, and dedication mean to us.

We’d love for everyone to join us in making this month special! We are curating a special night out for each pastor: Pastor Jeff, Pastor Nick, Pastor Janie, Pastor Mike & Pastor Adam.

You can participate in any of these ways:

Give online at www.reverentchurch.org/give and select Pastor Appreciation Month

OR

Drop a gift in the receptacle during worship (please note “Pastor Appreciation” in the memo line)

We will use these funds to craft special gifts unique to each pastor and their hobbies and interest. We can't wait to share an update with you! Thank you for helping us celebrate and bless our amazing pastors this October.

Join us for an informational meeting about our upcoming Youth & Young Adult Missions Trip to the Bahamas, February 13–20, 2027. Come curious and learn more about the mission opportunities, what to expect, and how you can be part of the team.

Our mission team is heading back to Guatemala City and Chiquimula this December to bless children in need — and you can be part of it!

We’ll be providing Christmas gift bags for about 225 children, and each child is waiting for someone like you to make their Christmas special.

Here’s how you can help:
Fill a gallon-size freezer bag with goodies and provide a special lunch for just $12.
Add a bag of groceries for the child’s family (optional, $40) — enough food for 3–4 weeks!

Stop by the ministry counter on October 15 or 18 at the Worship Center to select a child to adopt. You’ll receive a gift list and instructions when you sign up. Then just bring your filled bag back to church on 10/29 or 11/1

🚨 STAFF PARKING HALL OF FAME 🚨

We love our staff. We really do.

But after reviewing the photographic evidence, we have some questions. 😂

Apparently, the lines in the parking lot are more of a suggestion than a rule. Diagonal parking? Taking up two spots? Creating your own parking space? We’ve seen it all.

So today, we’re celebrating the parking skills that make our office lot… uniquely ours.

And remember… Jesus forgives. Our parking lot photos do not. 😂

When life feels hard, the days feel long, frustration is building, or temptation seems stronger than you are—bring it to the Lord.

He sees what no one else sees.
He knows what you’re carrying.
And He loves you more deeply than you could ever imagine.

You don’t have to carry it alone. Take it to Him. Trust Him with it. Let His presence be your place of rest.
