Dear Buncombe Street Family,
Our very own Krista Bannister is on her way to Johannesburg, South Africa, to serve as one of four lay delegates representing the Global Methodist Church of South Carolina at the Global Methodist General Conference. Also, Janice Holliday, our Pastor Emeritus, will be attending and serving at General Conference.
Over the next 10 days, delegates from around the world will gather for worship, prayer, holy conferencing, the election of bishops, and important work that will help shape the future of the Global Methodist Church. It is a significant moment for our young denomination and a wonderful opportunity for the Church to come together in prayerful discernment and fellowship.
Please join me in praying for Krista, the South Carolina delegation, our Pastor Emeritus, Rev. Janice Holliday, and all those gathering in Johannesburg. Pray that they would be led by the Holy Spirit and given wisdom, humility, unity, and courage. Pray that in the midst of meetings, conversations, and decisions, they would remain attentive to the voice of God and faithful to the calling of Christ.
