Today, I was delighted to bless two ultrasound machines, one in Greensburg at My Choice Medical Clinic (Life Choices) and another in Indiana. These machines were through the generous donations of Knights of Columbus Western Section as we work together to continue to pray for the dignity of life from conception until natural death.

On this Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time, we hear that Jesus looked upon the crowds with compassion because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. He then called His disciples and sent them out to proclaim the Kingdom of God, reminding us that the mission of the Church begins in the merciful Heart of Christ. May we allow the Lord to look upon us with love, heal what is weary within us, and send us forth as witnesses of His compassion in the world.

Today, the U.S. bishops consecrated the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus during the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The devotion to the Sacred Heart is rooted in the revelations received by St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, who shared Christ’s message of boundless love and mercy for all people. Through the image of His Sacred Heart, Jesus invites us to encounter the depth of His compassion and to respond with faith and trust.
As St. John Paul II reminded us, “The Sacred Heart has given us everything: redemption, salvation, and sanctification.”
May we open our hearts to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and allow His love to transform our lives.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Today, June 11, the Church celebrates the Memorial of Saint Barnabas, an apostle and missionary who helped build up the early Church through encouragement, generosity, and bold witness to the Gospel. Known as the “son of encouragement,” Saint Barnabas reminds us that discipleship is not only about proclaiming Christ with our words, but also strengthening one another in faith and helping others recognize the gifts God has placed within them. May his example inspire us to encourage one another, serve the Church with generous hearts, and joyfully share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Saint Barnabas, pray for us!
