How Should We Respond to God's Love †

Being convicted by Christ's love should lead us to faith and love toward God and others. If being convicted by this love should lead us to love others, what specific actions might that look like in your relationships this week?

God's Love Held Jesus on the Cross †

The sermon states that it wasn't the nails that held Jesus to the cross, but His love for us. How does this perspective change the way you view the crucifixion? What does it mean to you that Jesus was held to the cross not by nails, but by love? How does this reshape your understanding of the crucifixion?

"This Jesus" • Acts 2:04a, 22-36 • Holy Trinity Sunday, May 31, 2026 †

Pastor Pett's sermon from Holy Trinity Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Text: Acts 2:14a, 22-36
https://rlcgb.tiny.us/May31Epistle

What must someone feel before they are saved? The answer might surprise you: conviction. Guilt. Sorrow over sin.

In Acts 2, Peter boldly declares, "This Jesus, whom YOU crucified..." These words aren't meant to condemn, but to awaken us to the depth of God's love. Our sins put Jesus on that cross—yet His love held Him there. The Father planned it. The Son fulfilled it. The Holy Spirit proclaims it.

Over 330 Old Testament prophecies pointed to this moment. God's entire plan, carried out in perfect detail, all for one purpose: YOUR freedom. Freedom from sin, death, and the devil's power. Jesus didn't just die—He rose victorious, making you free.

This Memorial Day weekend, we remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. How much more should we remember the One who gave everything so we could truly be free? Let His love convict you. Let His sacrifice move you to faith.
