Talk about whiplash! One Sunday Peter is called "the Rock," and just a few verses later, Jesus tells him, "Get behind me!" 🪨

We can totally relate to Peter, can't we? We love Jesus, but we hate the thought of suffering, pain, and crosses. When life gets hard or grief hits close to home, our first instinct is to push back. But Jesus invites us to look at the cross with new eyes—not as an instrument of defeat, but as the ultimate symbol of God’s self-giving love. When we follow Jesus, we discover that losing our life for His sake is how we truly find it.

Today, we’re simply celebrating Kelly. 💛

After years of faithful service, countless conversations, behind-the-scenes moments, helping hands, warm welcomes, and so much love poured into the people of Our Savior’s, Kelly Flesch is retiring! 🎉

Kelly, thank you for the time, heart, energy, and care you have given so generously over the years. You have been part of so many moments in the life of our church, both the big ones everyone sees and the quiet ones that often mean the most.

While we will certainly miss seeing you in this role, we are so excited for everything this next chapter holds for you.

May retirement bring slower mornings, new adventures, plenty of laughter, and time for all the things you love most. You have earned it. 💛
