The tree of life stands as one of Scripture’s most enduring symbols, a thread woven from Eden to Revelation that reveals God’s desire to nourish, heal, and sustain creation. In this reflection, Keith Funk invites us to pause and consider how this image—rooted in beauty, abundance, and divine provision—shapes our understanding of God’s new creation and our place within it. As the biblical story moves from the garden to the renewed world, the tree of life becomes a powerful reminder of the life God offers even now.

What happens when you move beyond headlines and encounter the human reality of migration?

After participating in the Catholic Sisters Walking with Migrants program at the U.S.-Mexico border, Dominican Sisters of Peace Gregoria Bueno-Rodriguez, Annie Killian, and Terri Schell returned with powerful stories of courage, resilience, family separation, and the urgent need for justice.

Their experience brought new meaning to our call to "Be Peace. Build Peace. Preach Peace." and deepened our commitment to upholding the dignity of every person.

Read their reflections and learn how this journey is shaping our response to the realities faced by migrants and refugees: https://oppeace.org/2026/06/11/three-sisters-reflect-on-their-walking-with-migrants-journey/
