❤️ THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO. ❤️

Yesterday, the men of U-Turn for Christ had an opportunity to do something that had nothing to do with themselves.

There was a family in our community that was struggling. They needed some work done around their home to help create a safer environment for their family, and they simply didn’t have the ability to take care of it themselves.

So our guys showed up. 💪🔨

No big production.
No looking for recognition.

Just men putting their hands to work because the Lord calls us to be His hands and feet. 🙏✝️

And this is something I wish more people could see when they look at U-Turn for Christ.

Yes, we help men overcome addiction.

Yes, we give men a place to get sober, learn responsibility, learn trades, rebuild relationships, and find their way back to God.

But the story doesn’t stop there.

Restored men begin serving others.

Men who once took from their families and communities are learning how to give back.

Men who once needed someone to help them are becoming the men who show up when somebody else needs help.

That’s transformation.

And that’s what you’re supporting when you stand behind this ministry.

You’re not just supporting one man.

You’re helping create an environment where that man can be restored, and then become a blessing to his family, his church, his neighbors, and his community. ❤️

Yesterday, a family needed help.

And the men of U-Turn showed up.

This is what restoration looks like when it leaves the ranch. 🙌

We’re incredibly proud of these guys.

And we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helps make this ministry possible.

One man. One chance.

And sometimes, when you give one man a chance, a whole community gets blessed by it. ✝️❤️

🐷🔥 31ST ANNUAL U-TURN FOR CHRIST PIG ROAST! 🔥🐷

September 19th, the main U-Turn for Christ Ranch in Perris, California will come alive for one of our favorite days of the year!

And this year, we’re hoping to get the men from U-Turn for Christ Oregon down to California to be part of it. 🙌✝️

Every year, men and leaders from U-Turn ranches all across the country come together for this event. Men who have walked through the same struggles, fought the same battles, and experienced the same kind of restoration.

For our guys, getting down there is about so much more than a pig roast.

🤝 Meeting men from other ranches
💪 Building friendships and brotherhood
✝️ Sharing testimonies and encouragement
🔥 Seeing the bigger U-Turn for Christ family
❤️ Realizing they aren’t alone in this journey

Some of these men have never had the opportunity to meet others who understand exactly where they’ve been.

🎉 PHASE 1 COMPLETE — AND A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS! 🎉

Today we celebrate Zach Thompson graduating Phase 1 at U-Turn for Christ Oregon. 💪✝️

But Zach’s next chapter looks a little different.

He’s heading home to prepare for something bigger than any program milestone, the birth of his first child in September. 👶❤️

Think about what that means.

Zach isn’t just preparing to become a father. He’s preparing to become the kind of father who is present, responsible, and there for his child.

That’s what restoration is about.

It’s not just about what a man leaves behind.

It’s about who he’s becoming.

We’re proud of the work Zach has put in, the steps he’s taken, and the future he’s preparing to walk into. 🙏

Zach, we’re praying for you, your family, and that little one on the way. May God continue to guide you as you step into this next season of life. ❤️

🔨🏠 FRIDAY ON THE JOB AND THERE’S STILL A LOT TO DO! 🏠🔨

We’ve got some more pictures from the guys working on the Victorian home restoration project here in downtown Grants Pass, and we wanted to share a little more of what’s happening.

This is a big project, and the men have been putting in the work day after day. 💪

But as we’ve said before, this project is about more than restoring an old home.

It’s giving these men an opportunity to learn skills, work with their hands, take responsibility, and experience what it feels like to contribute to something bigger than themselves.

This is exactly why U-Turn for Christ Construction exists.

The construction arm of our ministry gives men in our program a chance to learn real trades and develop the kind of work ethic and skills they can take with them when they graduate.

And when you look at these pictures, you’re not just seeing a house being restored.

You’re seeing men being restored while they work. ✝️

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of a project like this and thankful for everyone who gives our guys a chance to work, learn, and prove themselves.

Today, all across the project, the men of U-Turn for Christ Construction are putting their hands to work, landscaping, painting, and construction, helping restore a beautiful Victorian home right here in downtown Grants Pass. 🌿🎨🔨

But what you see on the outside is only part of the story.

U-Turn for Christ Construction is the vocational arm of our ministry. We use real projects and real work to teach men coming through our program valuable skills they can take with them when they graduate.

They’re learning how to:

🛠️ Work with their hands
⏰ Show up and be dependable
🤝 Work as a team
💪 Take pride in a job well done
📚 Learn a trade that can lead to employment

For a man who is rebuilding his life, having someone willing to give him a second chance to learn a skill and prove himself can make all the difference.

Another day, another opportunity to learn.

Today, the men with U-Turn for Christ Construction were out on the job site framing and sheeting another project. 💪🪚🔩

Every wall that goes up is more than lumber and plywood.

It’s another lesson learned.
Another skill developed.
Another step toward a different future.

Many of the men who come through our program have never had the opportunity to learn a trade. Through U-Turn for Christ Construction, they’re gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for meaningful employment when they graduate the program.

📸 One Month.

That’s all these two pictures are separated by.

Take a moment and really look.

This isn’t just a physical change.

It’s a man beginning to believe there’s hope again.

When someone first comes through our doors, they often arrive exhausted, broken, and wondering if life can ever be different.

Then the work begins.

Not overnight.

Not by magic.

But through God’s grace, discipleship, accountability, hard work, and a community that refuses to give up on them.

This is what transformation looks like. ✝️

It’s why we do what we do at U-Turn for Christ Oregon.

❤️ Sometimes the biggest needs are also the simplest. ❤️

Life at U-Turn for Christ Oregon is busy.

Every day we’re feeding men, housing men, discipling men, and walking alongside them as they rebuild their lives through the grace of God. ✝️

This week, we have two very practical needs that we’re hoping our community might be able to help us with.

❄️ Our deep freezer has gone out.

A reliable freezer is essential for storing food that has been donated to the ministry and feeding the men in our residential program. If you have a good working deep freezer you’d be willing to donate, or know someone who does, we would be incredibly grateful.

🦷 We’re also raising funds to help one of the men in our program receive dentures.

This isn’t about appearance.

It’s about restoring confidence, improving his health, helping him eat properly, and removing another barrier as he continues rebuilding his life.

Sometimes restoration looks like a changed heart.

Sometimes it looks like a second chance.

And sometimes it looks like something as practical as a freezer… or a new smile.
