Connecting all people to God and to one another through scripture, sacrament, song, and service. Our Sunday worship begins at 10:00 AM. We hope to see you soon!

Central Reformed Church is one of the 845 congregations that make up the Reformed Church in America (RCA), the oldest Protestant denomination in North America. Our church began in 1840 as First Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Grand Rapids. In 1918, First Reformed Church and Second Reformed Church of Grand Rapids merged to become Central Reformed Church. After our church building burned in 1953, Central built on our current site on the corner of College and Fulton. In June of 2008, we finished our new atrium addition and code upgrades to our 1953 Colonial Revival building. We are known for our commitment to excellence in classical worship and our liberating theology that celebrates the great diversity of thought across the Reformed spectrum. With our emphasis on lifelong learning, Central offers a wealth of educational experiences for all ages. If you’re within driving distance, please feel free to visit Central.

During Sunday School yesterday our High School Students had a change to share stories about their Summer Service Trip to Staten Island and Project Hospitality. Thank you to everyone who came to hear the report. College Freshman, Lauen Hoezee, wrote and had this to say about the trip. "In June, I had the opportunity to go on my last mission trip with the youth group! We went to Staten Island, New York, for our service work throughout the week we partnered with a local program called Project Hospitality and they help people living on Staten Island who are in need. A moment I saw God was when we were working with Project Hospitality and we put various foods into bags for people to come and grab as they needed. I saw God because once we were finished we got to step back and see just how many bags we put together. It was very moving because it took a lot of effort and it was totally worth it in the end knowing how many people we were going to be helping. My favorite moment from this mission trip was when we had our day in Manhattan, more specifically when we watched Hamilton on Broadway! I absolutely love theater so it was incredible watching these people perform so passionately! Overall Staten Island was such an incredible service trip and I hope I can continue to give back to people just as we're called to do as Christians."
