What a joy it was to worship the Risen Lord this weekend! We got to enter Jesus' passion and death for us, and experience the joy of the Resurrection Easter morning. Alleluia!

And Jesus was very kind in bearing fruit as we abided in him: we had 25-30 folks at each of our services, including 11 first-time visitors. Thank you, Lord!

This Advent, we are directing our alms (gifts to the poor) to our local Homeless Shelter HomewardBound of the Grand Valley.

Specifically, we are joining with other churches in GJ to raise $120k to support the short-term need of keeping the North Ave Shelter open for Jan-Feb, which is the only emergency shelter in the city. The shelter is scheduled to permanently close before these coldest months of the year due to lack of funding. The goal is to limit deaths by exposure to over 100 people who seek shelter there every night. (Details of the funding problem are in attached letter.)
